Sopot and Gdansk are an amazing combination.
Sopot and Gdansk are an amazing combination. We stayed in Sopot and drove to Gdansk twice to explore the old town. Sopot is small and quiet, but gets quite busy in the central plaza and main street during the late evening. Our main takeaway from the trip to Poland was that the traditional Polish food was amazing. We highly recommend places like Karczma Irena, Pierogarnia Mandu and the small and cozy grocery stores like Lewiatan in Sopot. Some of the highly rated rated restaurants seemed to be living off the past reviews. Not nearly as good as 2 years ago. Marineros bar by far the best fish restaurant with superb and friendly staff. A beautiful city, the polish people we met were super helpful and accommodating. The polish language is hard to learn but people made their best attempt to speak to us in english. Our dollar went a long way. The city was super clean and completely safe. We want to comeback for Christmas.
