A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War II. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural features are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centers than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.
Warsaw offers many things to many people -- all the museums you could ever want, a beautifully re-built Old Town, record and book shops, flea markets, parks, great transportation infrastructure (same ticket works for the tram, bus, and metro), amazing choice of cuisine, music and club scene, and lots of friendly people.
Warsaw was our seventh EU city on this trip, and I’ve done visited a dozen other European cities in the past. This is my least favorite city by far! The architecture is grim, and the vibe here is just not good. People are not friendly, and it was hard to ever see a smile anywhere. I will never return to Warsaw. And by the way, we traveled next to Kraków, two hours south. Completely different vibe and we like it very much.
Only two days in Warsaw, but there is great music, parks, and the Old Town. Through friends I found a great restaurant close to Warsaw Central station: Cod Miod: best pierogi and goose. The wine list is limited, but this restaurant is excellent and a genuine value.
So many places to visit in the city and lots of choice on where to eat. We walked and used public transport - very easy to get around. A mobile app gives you real time information on services. Everyone was very polite and helpful. English was widely spoken in service outlets. We didn't take any cash and didn't need any. Everything can be paid using a contactless card. Please go and support the Pinball Station - great fun!
This town is interesting for culture ,science and history with the theatres, the palaces, the museums, the culture and science palace, the Art Gallerys, the churches and so on.Also for tourism, restaurants with their hotels and gastronomy it is worthful to visit Warschau.
Impressive city. Amazed how it was rebuilt after ww11. If you like ww11 history then they have a lot of museums which are reasonably priced and well designed. Enjoyed the variety of international food.
The hotel is right in the centre of Warsaw and 5 minutes walk from the central train station. The old town is about 30 minutes walk or 10 minutes in the car, so the location is excellent. The central reception area and bar are large and very comfortable. Staff are professional and courteous but not overly friendly. The room and bed was very comfortable, and the walk in shower an unexpected bonus. All in all the hotel provided what it advertised and I would happily stay again
Thank you to the hotel and all Polish people. My parents received very warm welcome in Poland. They traveled from Ukraine, Chernihiv reg, fleeing war. They stayed at Okecie hotel for 2 nights before flying to UK. My parents were impressed with your hospitality, the room was great and packed breakfast provided. Thank you for Ukrainian discount. I’ll definitely visit Warsaw by myself very soon.
Really beautiful and modern hotel, fully equipped and comfortable. The facilities are awesome and super clean. The staff was super friendly and kind. The breakfast is delicious, with big variety of choices even if you are vegetarian. Really close to the Warsaw center but a little more far away for Warsaw old town. For sure we totally enjoyed our stay in NYX Hotel!
Sródmiescie, Warsaw
This is one of the best capsule-based rooms I have tried across Europe, not only in Poland. Most notably, the level of cleanliness is exceptional and the staff is very friendly. I met two girls, one at noon and another one at night, and both were awesome. Very quiet area for the capsules, and also, the location is great, 10~12 minutes walk from the city center.
As it is in the capital of Poland, prices are much higher than in other cities. Other than that it was ok to stay in that place, as our main target was the concert, we only slept at the hotel and that's it. It was clean and comfortable. Location is better for business visiting and if you are looking for hotel nearby airport(10mins by car)
Whenever I stay in Warsaw I book this hotel-it never disappoints. It is clean, the studios and apartments are specious, staff always very accommodating and friendly. Good value for money and great location with a walking distance to the Old Town and the Central Train Station. Even the bus to the airport is a short distance away. Perfect!
Clean room, good location (close to metro (just 3-4 stops to city center), huge shopping mall (5-7 min from hotel), cheap street parking in front of hotel (Parking in Poland is free on weekends), friendly stuff (speaks in English smoothly), welcome drink :)
Close to the airport and the breakfast is the most varied we’ve had in Poland. Parking out the front or if you want to pay then there is in hotel parking. Restaurant in the hotel or there are a few others in walking distance from the hotel.
Sródmiescie, Warsaw
Wow -- you walk out of the hotel and you are right in the middle of old town! The location is amazing. And the room has tons of character. The staff is professional and helpful. This is a great place to stay to see Warsaw.
The hotel is located in a new business area of Warsaw, being easily accessible to the old town and the airport. The loom is a big enough for two persons. Considering the price, this is a great place to stay.
This hotel is just opposite to Chopin Museum and University of Warsaw. 10-15 minutes walking to city center and 20 minutes to Old town. The room was clean and staff were helpful. Wifi is very fast.
All around a perfect experience! I drove a couple of hours extra at night to reach this Hotel in Warsaw, which I visited last year already. Will return next time passing through Poland.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel site is close to the city centre. Everything was wonderful. If i visit Warsaw again, I will certainly make a reservation in this hotel.
Nice boutique hotel in the old town of Warsaw. Peaceful and cosy, has a small swimming pool and sauna. Staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good and varied.
Praga Pólnoc, Warsaw
Breakfast was not included in the price but the place is at walking distance to the Old Town. The hotel is situated in a peaceful district of Warsaw.
In my opinion the best hotel when flying from Warsaw. Also, great view of Warsaw.
What more can I say, everyone knows this is the best hotel in Poland
Sródmiescie, Warsaw
The best boutique hotel in Warsaw. everything was perfect
