Big city I visiting for years - as a result I usually feel like home there. Lot of great cafes/restaurants in downtown/central part and districts around center. One of the best prices for food/rooms comparing with any other European big cities. Haven't been in Warsaw for three years this time - the biggest surprise was people on the streets doesn't look stylish anymore. Spent Sunday and Monday, no big difference - absolute domination of cheapest China-produced T-shirts and jeans, because of that city looks like it experience serious economical difficulties. A decade or two ago Warsaw was much more stylish place, and I speak about such areas as Marszalkowska and Aleje Jeruzalimske. Far not everyone speaks English in restaurants, hotel,on the street, incl. young people. Quite a contrast with almost any bigger city in countries around Poland. In all cases it is one of the cheapest big towns in Europe to visit to.
My visit was for business appointment, the people are smiley and nice, for exchange you should be smart, don't change your money in airport and hotel, I found the exchange money in near of hotel in Casino, or you can find the on mall, Hotel location is good, Warsaw is good just for business no for vacation or like a tourist, If you are tourist you can choose or be in other city for Warsaw 1 days is enough.
I was in Warsaw for Towerrunning European Championships for only one weekend. I had a little time to walk around. My hotel was in the city centre so all within walking distance. I saw the Old Town, nice street leading to it. Akradia. City centre. The sky was overcast for two days but fortunately it was sunny on Sunday when I had more time to walk around. Very good food and great variety of it.
What a fantastic town! GREAT PRICES ON EVERYTHING IN POLAND for a weekend get-away!! They call it the Phoenix City as it is truly a modern European city rising from the ashes of communism and the people and the culture are just incredible. - Stayed at the Sofitel Hotel - Fantastic location 1 minute walk from the old town. - Found an incredible bar-restaurant 1 minutes walk away from the hotel, by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Plac Pilsudskiego called THE ALCHEMIST GASTROPUB. This is a must do for anyone visiting. modern cuisine simelar to thqat found in London, great portions, brand new i think, British chef, great food, great service, lovely staff all friendly and English speaking (they are not too friendly in the other restaurants we went to) good value, fantastic wine list, really trendy cocktails including a wicked rum punch served in a ceramic bathtun with a little rubber duck in it! lovely smart casual atmosphere + they have a wall of pour-your-own POLISH CRAFT BEERS & prosecco on tap! you can sample, try to your hearts content using a topped up pre paid card! incredibly cool experience! A must do for anyone visiting Warsaw - Will absolutely be back soon
The Old Town over the festive break was absolutely stunning, the Christmas lights were absolutely amazing, we never tired of seeing them. Aoli Mini just across the road on the left.... Very like Jamie Oliver's but half the price. Bazar Kocha, very minimal restaurant but very Masterchef style, smallish portions but delicious and not so expensive. Portraitowa in the Old Town, is a lovely traditional Polish restaurant which serves good food, the goulash soup was scrumptious! Charlottes is to the right and round the back of hotel MDM. Student and rustic but the food is really tasty and you get an excellent breakfast, very cheap Have afternoon tea at the Bristol Hotel in the Old Town.....soooo chic and a very special place. We used buses, trams and the Metro and they were all fine. Go to the Uprising Museum, very very well done and so interesting If you go in the winter be sure to have warm clothes.
I loved the central location of my hotel - and it was great for the freezing weather I had to brave. I liked a lot the yummy posh restaurants (went to St Antonio near the Teatr Wielki) and the numerous "hipsters" and oh-so-packed coffee places at Pl Zbawiciela. I was really looking forward to the Polish Jews museum visit as a friend recommended it to me highly but it was closed at the holiday time I went. Def next time!
The facilities were amazing and the atmosphere of the hostel is laid back and welcoming. Great for solo travelers as there are activities each night to meet people. The beds were com.fortable, the rooms were huge, the showers were nice, and the kitchen was clean. The common room and staff was the best of any hostel I stayed while traveling 6 weeks in Poland. Free tea/coffee and cookies are a plus. The location was perfect, central to everything including restaurants, the tram, and railway station. Highly recommend. Will stay again.
The rooms and bathrooms were so so clean! The staff are really friendly and happy to help with directions to anywhere. The location was perfect- we were within walking distance of Old Town and most of the tourist attractions, main shopping streets and popular clubs. The Warsaw Central Train station (for trains to Krakow and other cities in Poland) was 5 minutes walk away. This Hostel is literally right in the centre of the City and super affordable!
Second time I have stayed in this hotel and again was a great experience. The hotel rooms have all been modernised and are extremely clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Must give a shout out to house keeper on the 7th floor she was very attentive and always smiling. Excellent location opposition the palace of culture and science and central station. Warsaw Royal Route and Old Town are approx 10mins walk away. Would definitely stay here again.
Sweet comfortable appartment in perfect location next to every possible attraction and Old Town. Anna is an outstanding host! She helped us with everything and was available on whatsApp 24/7. We had unexpected issues with our next stop and Anna helped us also with this, inspite the fact that it was already after our check-out from her place. Definitely will stay only here when next trip to Warsaw.
Fabulous location, amenities and ambience in the Old Town. All the little touches such as nespresso pods to last your stay, toiletries and hotel slippers for comfort, overall an extremely well appointed apartment and a very responsive host. Excellent directions to the apartment, with clear concise instructions to access. Highly recommend The Red Brick apartment Warsaw for your stay.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The windows were big and there was a space to sit on them. The location was very good, near metro and close by the city center and the old town. The river was walking distance from the hotel , so were various Warsaw parks. Kitchen was available , and there was a foosball table there, which is always a good addition.
It was very cozy, clean and convenient. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The location is great if you would like to enjoy the breeze in Old Town because it’s very close to the town. Also, there are many stores and restaurants nearby. If you are going to Warsaw Chopin Airport, the bus stop is just within reach.
The location is super convenient if you have a layover in Warsaw but are not heading to the city itself. You don’t need to take a shuttle as the hotel is simply across the street from the airport entrance. The room was clean and comfortable.
The lovely ladies at front desk were very kind and helpful. Excellent location right at edge of old town Warsaw: and easily accessible from both airport and central train station by bus175. A cute cozy room. Excellent value!
The location. Old Town Warsaw is so charming, it almost feels like you’re in a set at Universal Studios. This hotel is right smack in the middle of it all. You can’t go wrong with the location.
Incredible hotel. Real 5 star new hotel. Fantastic big rooms, outstanding breakfast and very polite staff. Highly recommend to everyone in Warsaw. Uber from center of City to hotel 20 zloti.
It was within walking distance of both the train station and the old town square. The staff were very friendly. We will stay here again next time we come to Warsaw.
