Hotel Arche Geologiczna

Hotel in Wlochy, Warsaw

Hotel Arche Geologiczna in Warsaw provides adults-only accommodations with a bar and a terrace. Luggage storage: great. Left my luggage for storage early in the morning before the check-in time, which was very handy. Location: excellent for one night stay flying to/from the Chopin airport. The hotel entrance is from Geologiczna street. 5 min taxi ride to WAW at 5 a.m., 11 PLN basic and 16 PLN a comfort car with Bolt. Getting by the public transport to the city center/from WAW was simple as well. The name of a nearby tram stop is Hynka, trams 7, 9, 15 go to the city central area, approximately 30 minutes ride. From WAW I took S2 local rapid train, operated by SKM, got off at Rakowiec stop, then two tram stops to the hotel. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick, the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel's overall design rocks! Upbeat and definitely not boring! There's a kettle and a cup on the desk in the room and I could sell my soul for several cups of tea late in evening and early in morning in winter. Room spacious, comfy, clean. Ensuite facilities clean, hot water hot, good pressure. Hairdryer. The mattress and pillow very comfy. WiFi flawless. Was a bit short of time to check many TV channels, stopped on a Polish modern pop-music channel, which was uplifting to listen at 3 a.m. while getting ready to the airport.

FAQs about hotels in Warsaw

Always on the Move

A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War II. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.

Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.

Other cultural features are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.

Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centers than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.

Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.
