Located in Fajardo, Luxury Ocean View Apartment provides accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning, a restaurant and access to a garden with an outdoor pool. Accommodations where fabulous for my family. Everyone was comfortable throughout the apartment each had their space. Miriel's home decor was beautiful throughout the rental. Customer service from hosts was beyond EXCEPTIONAL! Both Miriel, and her husband, Juan Carlos, went over and beyond the call of duty! They were literally just a phone call away. They thought of every detail even name banners for my boys on their bunk beds. Amazing stay TOTALLY RECOMMEND STAY HERE!
Located in Fajardo, Pena Mar is set in a complex that’s offers an outdoor pool and a tennis court. This apartment features free WiFi. The property is 11 mi from El Yunque Rainforest. there are few places close to the apartment that you can walk and have some food
The beaches are great (seven seas) ,but to do snorkelling, it is necessary to go to the near islands with a boat at the ferry terminal. The location offers plenty of possibilities and tours to visit these islands. There you will find nice fishes and turtles to observe as well as cristal clear water and white sand. Restaurants are expansive compared to Europe but it is the same in all places in Puerto Rico. We preferred to buy and cook at home. If you want cheap restaurants, you will have to choose Burger King or MacDonald which are not very local. It is necessary to have a car to buy food. There is a small store near the house.
The Fajardo Inn was a very good place to stay. The restaurants that we liked were located 3 miles away in the Los Croabas (Seven Seas) area, not hard to get to after the first trip. We visited the El Yunque Nation Forest and hiked the trail to the Babbit Tower. We, also did the night kayak tour to the Bio Bay. Both activities were good experiences!
Fajardo was in itself not anything special but its a great spot to catch boat to Culebra and Viejes Islands, join a sailboat to go snorkeling gor the day among closer little islands,or go to El Junque rainforest .
Some great restaurants...(excuse my Spanish spelling) El Prescador $$$$ El Estacion (station) the best BBQ I've ever had and very reasonable. Salt and Pepper (English name)....good views and not expensive. No Uber in Fajardo yet, but good taxis. It is winter in Brooklyn, we were happy with the sun/pool.
Omg, the town roads are awful and sIgnage is poor. Be careful if you get a low centerline rental. People are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Did hear 5 gunshots in the distance one night.
If you like peace and quiet, Fajardo is the place to be. You can enjoy the beautiful view of El Yunque Rainforest just about anywhere. Also, if you plan to take the $5 (round trip) ferry to Culebra or Vieques Island, you can catch it at the Fajardo Ferry Terminal not to far out. Or simply enjoy nighttime kayaking with the family! The only downside is the smell that came near the port area. Be prepared to see damages that was the result of Hurricane Irma & Maria.
The location was great just near the sea and restaurants. You have a direct departure for the Kayak tour to see the phosphorescent water of the laguna and the ferry terminal for the great island of Culebra. The house is really safe and clean and Juan Carlo is always ready to help if we have something to ask. He showed us the supermarkets and restaurants near the house and gave us a lot of advices. He picked us at the airport and stayed with us until we had all necessary explanations. He and his wife are really nice persons!
The comfort of the facilities, the location, the views.
