In the middle of tropical gardens on the edge of El Yunque National Rainforest, this eco hotel features Caribbean architecture, panoramic island and ocean views. No A/C here but the elevation usually allows a strong cool-ish breeze. Here for 3 days in August and only one night was uncomfortably warm with little wind.
Igualdad Guest House is located in Fajardo and offers a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 18 miles from El Yunque Rainforest, and guests benefit from private parking available on site and... Host was very helpful, love the privacy and cleanliness.

Located in Fajardo, just 19 miles from El Yunque Rainforest, Luxury Apartment provides beachfront accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a tennis court and free WiFi. Everything was provided (beach chairs, cooler, kitchenware, washer/dryer).
Some great restaurants...(excuse my Spanish spelling) El Prescador $$$$ El Estacion (station) the best BBQ I've ever had and very reasonable. Salt and Pepper (English name)....good views and not expensive. No Uber in Fajardo yet, but good taxis. It is winter in Brooklyn, we were happy with the sun/pool.
Omg, the town roads are awful and sIgnage is poor. Be careful if you get a low centerline rental. People are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Did hear 5 gunshots in the distance one night.
If you like peace and quiet, Fajardo is the place to be. You can enjoy the beautiful view of El Yunque Rainforest just about anywhere. Also, if you plan to take the $5 (round trip) ferry to Culebra or Vieques Island, you can catch it at the Fajardo Ferry Terminal not to far out. Or simply enjoy nighttime kayaking with the family! The only downside is the smell that came near the port area. Be prepared to see damages that was the result of Hurricane Irma & Maria.
From monday through wendesday, everything is closed. No basic nightlife. This town is in a general bad shape even though it has a few marinas and the ferries to Culebra and Vieques. If you dont have other trips or activities pre-planned, there is not much to do. El Pescador is a nice restaurant and Las Vistas Cafe with beautiful views and pretty good breakfast.
Fajardo is not congested with traffic and within driving distance to San Juan and El Yunque National Forest. There’s also a bio luminescent tour nearby. The ferry terminal for service to Culebra and Vieques.
Food in the hotel was expensive. Wish we had discovered outside food before the last day. The views were spectacular! My children enjoyed the hotel's scoutabout, where they had to find things around the hotel, collect a bracelet at the locations and turn them in for a better bracelet at the end of the trip.

Location is amazing. But you need hiring 4WD car . There are many frogs and insects and lizards and 6 adorable dogs. If you like insects and wild animals , this is the best hotel. The owner stuff has is really warm and good heart.

Great beds. Two pools. Huge bird aviary. Property well maintained especially after Hurricane Maria. No power but hotel running on generator power 24/7 . Just like power is not out.

Loved the location, although it was in Fajardo, and away from the metropolitan area, it was very close to El Conquistador. It is right on the water. Very beautiful view.

It served our purpose. The air in the back bedroom was cool but the rest of the rooms would have been hot. Possible could have the windows open. Pillows were awesome. The view was beautiful but several miles from the beach
