This is a fabulous place to stay if you want peace and Tranquility, but also there is a lot to do in the hotel grounds itself as they are very very large and have a stunning view over the lake. The rooms are very large and you have plenty of room and also have your own balcony which is a good size and nice to use. We did encounter a couple of issues when we first arrived, but Raquel who was in the reception is absolutely fantastic and everything was sorted out very swiftly and this is the sort of standard you do expect in a five star hotel and it was very nice to see it all happen so fast. Also many thanks to Patricia who also acted swiftly in sorting out a couple of problems. These are two members of staff that really stood out and should be very greatly appreciated by your company as these are truly leaders in their profession. We will highly recommend this hotel and will stay with you again. Return, many thanks. Jane Walker

Home from home. The owner lives on site and it was just a lovely welcome. Fresh baked cake was waiting for us, fruit from their garden, a homemade liquor.. and many other touches. Very secured, with locked Gate. Gorgeous garden, we didnt use the pool (its Feb after all), gorgeous view. For dinner we headed about 15mins drive to : Churrescaira: roasted chicken @ As Medas; google states they open at 7pm but they were opened at 6.30pm Restaurante D. Dinis just further along (5mins drive from As Medas). We went on Valentine's day (forgot); restaurants were fully booked but they took as in which was lovely.of them. amazing food, very reasonable. For breakfast/ snack and coffee we headed into Beirao de Gema. lovely staff and very helpful.

Hombres is a tiny village, quiet, dreamy, in the middle of mountainous Bairrada. Fausto and his wife made us feel at home, invited us to their farm and to their table for countless aperitivos of their own making. We shared stories, hosts shared their farm's veggies, olive oil and wine with us. Moreover, they provided us with helpful pointers on where to visit in surrounding towns. The house is uniquely preserved and (if I remember correctly) dates back to 19th century. Which doesn't make it any less comfortable :) Cherry on top — access to house's own farmland with grapes and kiwis and multiple other plants growing and making you feel like a small landowner :) We will definitely come back and recommend the place to our friends

It’s exactly as expected, even more!! Of course the windmill is very picturesque himself, but the view it’s amazing, and the host is the absolute best! Always available and ready to help! When you think of such a location, you’d think of driving in a stone path without lights : they have indeed a very comfortable path and you can reach it by car and park almost in front of your mill. The windmill is very clean and every detail is promptly selected to match the whole setting of the country style. In your windmill, you’ll find everything you need in order to prepare a breakfast to enjoy on the back of the windmill, enjoying the valley, wind and sunrise. We were sad because we just stayed 2 nights!! Highly suggested ✨
