Lovely guesthouse with spacious outdoor areas and lovely indoor spaces also. Our host was welcoming and responsive. The common areas are beautifully decorated, and our host gave many, many recommendations for nearby dining. The house is a 5 minute walk from a small grocery store, and there is a shared kitchen area if you want to prepare a meal or snacks. We stayed in the writer's room and loved it. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the outdoor balcony was lovely. We awoke both mornings to the sound of birds singing-- it is a beautiful area and perfectly situated for walks in nature and the surrounding areas. We LOVED our stay and hope to return again.

This is a perfectly-appointed, simple, and CLEAN hotel located in the interior of Portugal. The management was exceptionally gracious; she made us feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast was divine, particularly with a pumpkin jam (I am still thinking of it). The guests are provided with a very helpful guidebook that suggests restaurants, hikes, and other tours. I seized upon a little 15-minute walk around the hotel surroundings, stepping into the fields, seeing the stone walls up close, and escaping even further into bliss. This was a stopping point between Lisbon and Portugal. From here, we were able to visit the caves and Fatima. We loved driving around the area. Our visit was in April. We were among a few guests, but we suspect it gets crowded during the high season. Note: if coming to this hotel, work with the provided GPS coordinates rather than cutting and pasting the street address. We ended up in another town with the same address.

Hosts so friendly and helpful. Warm greeting, provided a fan to keep cool while sleeping, assisted with finding accommodations further along my Camino route. Breakfast was solid. Offered me the use of washing machine and drying rack.

Beautiful surroundings, quiet area, plenty of free parking, walking paths around the property, animals, forest, etc. Perfect for people seeking relaxation. Breakfast had plenty of choice and dinner was tasty, especially the rice with monkfish and the chocolate dessert.

5-star space. Friendliness and professionalism from all the staff. Excellent breakfast. Super peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful and meticulously maintained space. Ideal for relaxing in contact with nature. Very good for families.

Very quiet accommodation, beautifully maintained outdoor...

Very quiet accommodation, beautifully maintained outdoor green spaces, excellent outdoor and indoor pools + spa, mini gym, massages by appointment. Very pleasant restaurant, with very well-prepared food at fair prices. Excellent friendliness and overall helpfulness of the staff. Definitely to be repeated.

I enjoyed it immensely and plan to go with friends or family. I recommend visiting Alcobaça to see the city and the monastery. I recommend the pastry shops opposite the monastery. They have wonderful cakes! You can also visit Nazaré and Rio Maior.

Generally good, but I wouldn't accept a room in the main house with a small window facing the side of the building (Amendoeira room). The restaurant is good, but I suggest opting for the à la carte selection rather than the daily menu. The walking trail around the accommodation is recommended, and the bungalow area is quite interesting.
