Top choice! We went for a mountain bike race in the next village. I can’t say enough good things about this place! The host was amazing and helped with every question we had, the house had everything, it was big and spacious. They even delivered wood for the fireplace every day without us asking for it. The area is gorgeous.

A pleasant little mountain town, perfect if you want plenty...

A pleasant little mountain town, perfect if you want plenty of rest and fresh air. Restaurants are scarce but good. For a bit of culture, you've got the amazing Caramulo Museum (focused mainly on automobiles but it also has an excellent art collection, containing art by some of the great masters, such as Picasso and Dali). Not a place for shopping sprees or for the night life.

Caramulo is a great place to enjoy with a great past.

Caramulo is a great place to enjoy with a great past. The mountains welcome you. There are many trails and the landscape is beautiful. You may enjoy one of the best car museums in Europe. The food is great.

This hotel is very beautiful inside. We had rooms on the top floor with jacuzzi. They were spacious with big windows in 3 directions, lovely furnishings with comfy bed. The bathroom is modern and lovely and having a jacuzzi with blue skies and a lovely view was the icing on the cake! Also probably the best breakfast we’ve had in Portugal! Thank you

Golden Tulip Caramulo was an experience. A beautiful hotel with stunning views. We had mixed reports, our double room was large, clean and comfortable with outstanding views. Breakfast was excellent and the early serving of it for the riders was much appreciated.

Amazing. What a fantastic respitre of serenity andf calm. I reallt neeed a good nights's sleep and the couple who run the hotel were able to help me out in every way. Amazing -really amazing breakfast! Definitely recommended!
