This was an excellent stay. Imagine you have a friend who lets friends stay in his huge three story well-equipped and intricately-landscapped house (large tv, full kitchen with multiple, multiple bathrooms, wifi, multiple sets of plates and glasses, even a bar) in his home town when he's not there. That's what this is like. Corticada is a small, rather sleepy, town with vineyards (across the street), gardens and cobblestone streets.

This beautiful cottage was in a beautiful rural part of the country, surrounded by mountains and trees. As it is rural, you will need a car to get around. The service was exceptional, staff super friendly and willing to try communicate in English. Even though we couldn't enjoy the breakfast at the main house, breakfast was brought to our door every morning and they even catered for our kids. It is the little things that count, like having the heating on prior to our arrival, making our cottage nice & toasty for our arrival. A superb stay!

Comfortable hostel, super clean, and also warm (host had put radiators on before we arrived) Breakfast was fantastic, Antonio really cared we got what we wanted, even finding lactose free yoghurt for my friend. And there was plenty, we made sandwiches for lunch! We drove to the next village to walk but really you could walk directly from the hostel as it’s surroudned by magnificent countryside. And it’s a tiny sweet village, we sat outside at the local cafe and drank excellent local wine with local fresh cheese & bread.

Wonderful location, peaceful, beautiful, just perfect. Breakfast was great. The house is well equipped and Roberto was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to everyone.
