What gem of a property to stay in and relax. Tiago and Sol were wonderful hosts, easy to talk to, and offer recommendations of local areas to visit. Close to numerous surf spots and the small town of Carrapateira. We would love to come back again!

What looked like a cute rustic farmhouse hotel from the online photos was actually an underwhelming and overpriced stay. Definitely not a place to visit in its current conditions if you're into well appointed boutique hotels.
I hope this review can be used as constructive criticism because there is a lot of potential here.
The check-in experience was quite easy and welcoming. The staff was kind to leave a bottle of wine in our room since they knew we were coming on our honeymoon.
The hotel room felt very bare, dated and without any character. Not a single piece of artwork, rug, or accent pillow. The furniture all felt very cheap and dated. From the most basic shelving unit, to the plastic lighting fixtures and the bedside table lamps that looked like the cheapest desk lights at Ikea. This was very off-putting for what one might expect from a property like this.
The room was quite dark and there was also a little bit of a smell of humidity. And with no air conditioning or fan, the room lacked air circulation which explained the smell. This made particularly difficult to sleep on a rainy night since the air was thick and no way to create fresh air in the room.
The room had decent closet space. There was a clothing hanging bar but no hangers.l, which seemed like a bit of oversight. Another detail that was a little upsetting was when the room was cleaned in the morning, they failed to refill the water bottle. Given that tap water is not drinkable in this area, this should have been done. Additionally, the wi-fi in the room was not great and completely down after the rain.
We had a little outdoor terrace. But unfortunately the views were obstructed by leaves of a tree / bush that could have easily been trimmed. This blocked most of the nature view which is what we came to this hotel for.
The hotel sits on a beautiful piece of land at the bottom of a valley. And the grounds are very nice with a couple of walking paths and ponds.

This place exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made you feel like a part of their home. The location is exceptional - walking distance from a beautiful local beach that is far less crowded than other Algarve beaches. The setting was relaxing and the daily breakfast was the best we’ve ever had at an accommodation. We were so delighted and recharged from our stay - thank you Felipe and team!
Bordeira is one of the top beach in the world. We are coming to this region since 40 years and we have never enough .
Sitio do forno is a simply spectacular position. Excellent basic Portuguese food

It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love that this IS NOT hot touristic spot. Yes, you'll find find restaurants in and around, wide beach with small bar on it. But in the nigth there is only sound of wind and ocean, and that what we need on holidays!

Lovely area and locals are nice and helpful.
Lovely area and locals are nice and helpful. Easy to get around and there are some reasonable basic services available such as guesthouses, restaurants. I didn’t see a gas station, ATM or grocery market so plan to stop elsewhere for those.

Very cute small village in the middle of paradise.
Very cute small village in the middle of paradise. Super spot for hikers and nature lovers. There is a minimarket and some restaurants open even in out of season times. When I am back to Algarve, I am definitely coming to Carrapateira again.

This is an extremely relaxing community with easy access to some of the most dramatic and beautiful natural features I have ever seen. Bordeira beach is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Amado beach is beautiful as well, but less dramatic and has more facilities. The village is quiet with several restaurants and plenty of parking for the beaches. There are countless hikes accessible directly from the village. Plenty of restaurants and snack bars

I loved the comfort and the clever lay out of the property.
I loved the comfort and the clever lay out of the property. the bed was really very comfortable with beautiful bedding and lovely towells. I didn't find the chairs at the table very comfortable but then I do have a bad back so need support. The staff were very pleasant and obliging. the only thing I would mention is that it said there would be tea and coffee in the room but I had not assumed they would be charging for each coffee pod at 1.5 euros which seemed mean in view of the price range of the property. Likely would not have hurt to have the coffee included at around 100euros per night. Otherwise everything else perfect
Lovely little pension with a lot of care and detail put into it. Has a very nice courtyard full of flowers and is right next to the dunes and a short way away from the beaches. Carrapateira is also a nice little village that seems more charming than a couple of other places we saw along the coast. We were very positively surprised because we did not expect this place to be so nice. Breakfast is exceptional, staff is very nice and helpful and the location is perfect for exploring the nearby beaches and coastline.
Olivia’s place exceeded our expectations, considering the price and the season. The room was big, super clean and cozy. The view is amazing since the house is located on top of the hill and the village is very quiet. We loved every minute spent in Carrapateira, highly recommended.
Lovely accomodation, simple but cosy room, fully equipped kitchen. Close to a great beach. Good wifi. Pay attention - there is no big shops in Carrapateira, only one minimercado
