I loved everything about this place!!! Staying in the barrels overlooking the vineyards with that breathtaking view of the village was the absolute most memorable part of our two week trip in Portugal. Highly, highly recommend.
With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is located 2625 feet from Lamego’s center. Guests at the Lamego can also savor the local cuisine for lunch and dinner.

Property was very centrally located and was very clean . Pools were a nice touch. The people we met at the property were great . Front desk staff was amazing and extremely helpful in arranging drivers for our excursions and especially for our special driver who brought us to safety in Lisbon during the fires. We are extremely grateful to all!!!!

We have been travelling for many years and staying through booking.com. Our hosts Jorge and Isobel were simply wonderful and made our 4 day stay in the Douro valley just the best part of our trip. They were welcoming, generous and shared so much hospitality with us. We highly recommend Quinta do Apriceste to anyone travelling to the Douro to make the best of their holiday!

Geographically Lamego is in a hollow.
Geographically Lamego is in a hollow. As I approached from the south in full sun in December you could see Lamego covered in mist, cold damp mist. It lasted for my 3 day stay and the sun was only visible as I left and approached the Duro River!
The accommodation was dia and the highlight was the cheerful taxi driver to took me out!!
Limited walking as two routes were terminated by loose snarling dogs!

Very pretty city, could have spent more time just hanging out and getting to know the city and way of life. If you are there just to walk to the top of the steps to see the cathedral, then one day is sufficient.

Beautiful inn that has been lovingly restored and updated with top modern conveniences. Keyless entry, smooth and welcoming check in/out with Carina, amazing breakfast with homemade items, beautiful quiet room with insulated windows, comfy bed and great bathroom. Obrigada Carina!
Exceptional service from arrival to departure. We had 3 fantastic days at the hotel, all the staff are really professional and the facilities are amazing - huge grounds to explore plus a great pool, spa and good gym with machines and some free weights.
Food is generous in portions and wines range from straightforward to seriously classy (but still good value). It was everything we’d expect from a luxury hotel and more. Definitely coming back some day soon.
The hotel has been run by the same family for 40 years and the decor consists of items collected by the owners during the years. This is no way minimalistic but full or character and enjoyable.
The private parking is in the basement and the floors can be accessed by the lift.
The staff are amazingly good and the hotel is spotless. The breakfast is also very good.
We highly recommend the Cerrado hotel to visit Lamego and the Douro valley.
Great hotel in an amazing location/Town.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Rooms were a good size and a nice powerful shower.
Breakfast was as good as you would expect.
Nice rooftop bar. Not much of a view but very cosy.
The staff was very friendly, our rooms got upgraded and the hotel is amazing! The food is 5☆ and I would definitely recommend this hotel when in Lamego
