Located in the Bairrada region, just outside the beautiful town of Mealhada, this 3-star hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Staff were all really friendly and very helpful. They even prepared breakfast for us at 6am ax we had to leave early to start walking. They gave u. Excellent local tips and advice.
Pharmacy Hostel is located in Curia and is set in a renovated building, which used to house the Curia Thermal Pharmacy. Featuring a blend of modern and vintage décor, it is 1476 feet from Curia Park. Comfortable room, great shower, friendly staff... about 2km walk off Camino but worth it... some nice walks and restaurants close by
The family-run Hotel do Parque is located in a restored 1922's building. It is just 820 feet from the Parque Termal Curia, and 1640 feet from the Curia Golf Course. Treat like royalty and welcomed into a majestic home/small hostel We went off Camino pieste and glad we did Highly recommended and the bar with local wines is well stocked Enjoy
Visit Any of the places that sell suckling pig and table wine. Visit Lusõ to check out and drink the spring water facilities. I would recommend having a car as the area is well connected and easy to drive.
Conveniently located near Jardim do Palace Hotel do Buçaco, Mealhada is a fine location from which to base one's stay of a day or two in this area. While in Mealhada, we also visited the Aliança Underground Museum in nerby Sangalhos (image attached). Recommended.
Restaurante Flor da Barraida, about 1 klm north of the town of Mealhada on the IC2 served a fantastic meal of the local specialty Leitao (roast suckling pig ) for a very reasonable price with exceptional service by a multi lingual waitress. Great restaurant with great service.
Such a beautiful setting and a gorgeously restored quinta! Located in a small village, it was very quiet. We didn't use the pool but it makes a lovely view even better. The quinta is very close to the Bucaco forest and close to Mealhada for restaurant selections. We opted to buy a few things at the market for a picnic by the pool. Christina was a gracious hostess and breakfast was very good.
Each unit has it's own secure parking. Bed was huge. Was just off a main road. Easy to find. Quirky. Hotel next door (Not on any maps) had a really good restaurant and the rooms were cheaper.
Hotel run down and accommodation very basic Breakfast average. Size of room and bathroom is good, but furniture and linen in room is needs an update. Lady at reception was friendly, but very slow
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and we would come back if we had another stay in that region.
