Extremely comfortable one bedroom apartment near the top of the village. It is unique - the bedroom/dining room and ensuite bathroom are integrated into the rocky outcrops of Monsanto. Very modern with fully equipped kitchen. We were met promptly by a charming lady who explained everything. A good breakfast was provided in the fridge and in the morning fresh crusty bread was delivered to our door. There is a good taverna (Lusitania) up th hill which has tapas and Celtic music a cliff-top terrace.

Monsanto is very special and Sun Set is the place to stay when visiting. Arrival and check in was clearly explained and Eloiza was very helpful and accommodating. The house was charming, comfortable, well equipped and spotless. Eloiza made sure all of our needs were met including a lunch after a long hike and help with dinner reservations. You couldn't ask for a better host. Monsanto is a unique experience and a must see if you enjoy traveling off the beaten path. Sun Set is the place to stay.

What an amazing place Monsanto! The rooms were built in and around boulders and was charmingly furnished. The breakfast was amazing and so inexpensive. And I cannot say enough kind things about our Host Estela. Kind --and genuinely delights in getting to know you. I felt like I was staying with a friend I hadn't seen in many years. She is as delightful as the accommodation. And her store is filled with amazing art and well-curated pieces for sale.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at this cozy and charming little stone house in a quiet location in Monsanto village. The apartment has everything we need. Breakfast was awesome with local homemade pastry. Host Luis was extra friendly and very helpful with all our questions. Definitely a keeper for future visits.

The location is amazing, the house has very easy access (and not each house in Monsanto can provide this ;) ), it is possible to park a car near the house. Two verandas, which have amazing view! Ana, who met us and gave a key is very friendly and gave some tips what is worth to see around.

Great location at the heart of a historic town. Quaint little house, decorated with great taste and with all amenities. Excellent for a family or group of friends. In the heart of Monsanto, an absolutely unique village! Host went out of her way to accommodate us (we were late).

The studio is very beautiful, comfy, stylish and perfifor a romantic getaway. The street of the house is silent and seemed to be away from the main tourist routes of the village. You feel part of the environment there, which is a unique experience in Monsanto.

It’s a great place for those visiting Monsanto. Nice facilities with all you need. The swimming pool is a huge bonus!
