location for us was excellent as we travelled by train .
We loved the welcome and helpful staff. The room we had and views were excellent. we were able to extend our stay to go on a riverboat and steam train as well as visit Pocinho. The wine bar opposite the Museum was excellent and the Museum well worth a visit.

The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short.
The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short. The big thing I would encourage travelers to do is to make reservations and tour plans prior to visit. Wineries are often booked for bigger tours and not accepting drop ins.

We loved our stay. The family and staff are amazing! I can't emphasize how welcome we felt. The dinner was delicious and the port/wine parings lovely. They also arranged taxis for us on two occasions. Would love to come back.

Very friendly welcome but took a few minutes to gain access to the property. It was a 25 minute walk to the station but taxis readily available and affordable. Close to supermarkets.
Tio Manel restaurant in Regua was excellent - in terms of food quality, service and pricing.
Boat trips from Quayside to Pinhao and from there to a selection of Quintas. The Croft tour and tasting was very good - informative and good value for money.

It was the height of the tourist season (middle of August) and there was also a public holiday. The town was very busy and put quite a strain on restaurants and bars. Previous visits have been off season and the town copes a lot better, providing a more relaxed experience.
Great location near the Train and the Wine bars and restaurants. Simple breakfast, well presented and certainly enough variety. Rooms are all new and sparkling clean and well appointed for a short stay. Definitely value for money with the location and ease of walking to and from the train. We dined at Aneto during our stay which is a 2 walk. Recommend both the Accommodation and restaurants for any visitors to Regua.
We enjoyed the quiet and beautiful location, the hotel and grounds were very relaxing. The staff we are very helpful and full of suggestions for eating and places to visit. The recommended guide ( Paulo) was well worth the day with, we are now experts in the Douro. We would be happy to stay again and would recommend the place.
Hotel right by the quaint railway station and river..very quiet and a lovely room with plenty of space and nice bath... Breakfast had a good choice and there was a large patio with excellent views..the host was friendly and was fluent in English... top marks!
This was the best stay in our Portugal vacation. Great service, clean house with extrimely beautyful view. Polite owner- the fridge was full of tasty food for breakfast. The next morning we waited fresh bread. It was verry warm and great stay. Thanks
