Located on the plateau of Santarém, Santarém Hotel features adult and children's pools, a terrace and a fitness center. It was a good location for those on the camino. But you will need GPS to find it.... not too hard. It has a restaurant and it close to a store to get some water for the next day's march.
Located in Santarém, 984 feet from Santa Clara Convent and 2297 feet from CNEMA, António Bastos 57 provides accommodations with amenities such as free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. When arrived after walking the Camino, found the property easy, rang the bell and the host arrived to let us in. Apartment was great with a jucuzzi for our tired bodies after a 30 km walk. The host drove us to the grocery store and back and made recommendations for some local foods and wines to buy. He could not be more helpful. You will appreciate staying here because of his helpfulness. In the morning we left early an left the keys in the garage and closed the door. We could not have had a better stay.
Offering an outdoor pool surrounded by gardens, Country House Santarém has eco-friendly wooden houses located in Vale de Santarém. Free WiFi access is available in this holiday home. The property was beautiful! Tons of land to walk around and many different animals to enjoy amongst the property.
This 17th-century farmhouse offers air-conditioned accommodations with a terrace. It has a garden with an outdoor pool and a barbecue. There is a riding center and stables with horses. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts, beautiful property located in a peaceful and picturesque location and the tastiest possible breakfast. Highly recommended
Located in Santarém, Casa da Alcacova has accommodations with a year-round outdoor pool, free WiFi, a garden and a shared lounge. A beautifully restored historic house and grounds with a magnificent view over the Rio Tejo. The owners are deservedly proud of their hotel and happily explain its history to guests. They also do the utmost to make sure their guests are happy and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and includes made-to-order eggs if desired.
A good hotel. Friendly people. Front desk folks super professional. A bit off the path for someone walking and you will need GPS to find it. Breakfast included, but we departed way early. Taxi's area availble and you will need one to get to a meal of choice. You can get clothes cleaned but will have to wait until 1200 the next day.
Lovely old town with great views out over the Tejo Valley. Quiet cobbled streets. Great public open spaces. Old tile faced buildings. Impressive churches. Lovely old market hall with scenes of local life in blue tiles on the outside.
In itself not a city to enjoy for more then 1 or 2 days maybe, but very conveniently placed in the hart of the Ribatejo, with easy travel distances to point of interest in both Alentejo and Ribatejo, and even a trip to the coast is not too far. Great to get a feel of what the real Portugal is like. Some nice restaurants with local cuisine not to be missed

Great place to relax. I originally intended to stay with my family for one night but upon arrival, we immediately booked an extra night. So much space for my two toddlers to run and watch the sunset. Did I mention the juicy oranges available for grabs right outside our front door. The Quinta was close enough from Santarem to shop at Pingo Doce but far enough to get that feel that we were away from the chaos of the city. It was a bitter sweet moment when we had to leave and continue our trip to Algarve.

It’s hard to overstate how special this place is in Santarém: you can enjoy the swimming pool, right next to Roman ruins, in the main house of the medieval castle, with spectacular views over the valley. The breakfast is great, the rooms are luxurious, and the people are very welcoming.

A large 2 bedroom unit with all the necessary comforts for an enjoyable stay. Would definitely book this apartment again should we come to Santarem. Luis had provided a great selection of food for us to make breakfast.

Breakfast choice excellent, good bacon with the scrambled eggs, good choice of cheese, and even salami and smoked salmon! Possibly the best choice in any hotel that we have used in Portugal!

Very near the river and the pretty part of Santarem. A very pleasant breakfast outside, and the recommendation for dinner was very good. Bikes and a good swimming pool are freely available.
