Located in the quiet countryside of Santiago do Cacém and 12 mi from Costa Vicentina and its beaches, Hotel Rural Monte Xisto offers luxurious rooms and an apartment with private balconies overlooking... This was a perfect choice for a peaceful night's sleep and a refreshing start to a new day. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast superb. Cristina is a lovely hostess and has a keen eye for detail.
Located in the center of Santiago do Cacém, Hotel D. Nuno offers views of the Castle and the Parochial church. It features spacious rooms, an outdoor pool, and free Wi-Fi. Very clean, very helpful staff, great location and lots of variety at the breakfast buffet. Close to a large supermarket and a great restaurant that the locals frequent.
Blending traditional and modern design, the 4-star Santiago Hotel Cooking & Nature is located on a hilltop overlooking the castle of Santiago do Cacém. Highly recommend staying here while in Santiago do Cacém. The hotel was lovely and the two dinners we had here were wonderful. Very good food and the staff were super nice and very knowledgeable.
Casa de Santiago has free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a garden and bar in Santiago do Cacém. The property is non-smoking throughout and is located a few steps from Santiago do Cacém Castle. This is an amazing property. The service is incredible. We were greeted with a freshly baked baba bread and some water. They parked our car and brought in our suitcases. The house is amazing and so is the gardens. The owner made us a reservation for dinner and when we got back they even turned down the bed for us. The breakfast was delicious . This place is worth a detour. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade. Everything was just amazing. Thank you !
Casa Rodrigues, a property with a garden and barbecue facilities, is located in Santiago do Cacém, 1.2 miles from Santiago do Cacém Castle, 1.3 miles from Santiago do Cacém Municipal Museum, as well... Adelaide is a very kind host and left some delicious oranges for us, the house is super comfortable with fruits trees in the nice terrace and facilities at about 5 mn drive from the house.
Located in Santiago do Cacém, 9 miles from Santiago do Cacém Castle, Casas Monte Sardinha offers accommodations with free WiFi, a patio or a terrace and access to a garden and an outdoor pool. Tha sightseeing was beautiful, very quiet, very nice pool and little lake. Everything was very well taken care of. It is a perfect place to spend a quiet holyday , 10 minutes from the beach. Loved it !
Set in a former windmill, the Herdade do Moinho features a biological outdoor swimming pool. It is less than 3.1 mi from Santiago do Cacém and 12 mi from Santo André Lagoon. We loved staying in the windmill. It is small, but comfortable and well designed for purpose. The bathroom is small, but serves its purpose. The views are spectacular. Franziska is an amazing host who made sure that we had detailed directions to find the place well ahead of our arrival date. The check-in process was easy and welcoming, and she helped with restaurant recommendations to their local, non-touristy eateries. I would stay here again!
We stayed at Santiago do Cacem for one night at the start of our walk on the Rota Vicentina. It has an interesting old castle at the top of the hill. There are a few local cafes / restaurants where a good meal for a low price can be found. We spent an afternoon walking around the town - which was about right.
Quaint and peaceful city (it is officially a city but feels more like a village). Enjoyed the walk up to the castle with its cobblestone streets and small shops. I would recommend Santiago do Cacem for the more mature traveler because it is very laid back. As far as restaurants, whichever restaurant you choose, you will be well served, however, restaurant "O Arco" and "O Retiro do Escova" stand out in my mind. This is a typical Portuguese "town" and it takes you back in time. One can use this city as a home base for visiting the rest of the beautiful Alentejo region of Portugal. Alentejo is known for its cork trees(sobreiros) and, of course, the vineyards that bring us the great Alentejo wines. Lastly, make sure to enjoy the beautiful coastline with its never ending beaches and charming villages with tiny houses painted in white and blue.

We were three couples with small children. The house is very spacious and bed rooms are separated by bathrooms. The house is tastefully decorated and very clean. The garden is lush and huge, great for the kids to play. The swimming pool is very big and pretty too. The owners are very helpful and friendly. They made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The Quinta is just outside of Santiago do Cacém and very quiet. Conveniently located close to several beaches. We enjoyed our stay very much! Muito obrigado!

The attention and kindness of staff were great. Me and my son went to this place to ride by bike the Vicentine route, starting the journey in Santiago do Cacém. And the bikes we rente were supposed to be delivered in this place. When we arrived in the hotel, the night before starting the ride, the reception staff gave us the information about the delivery of our bikes the following day. And so it happenned. Also the location, silence and the classical decoration and atmosphere of the hotel are to be highlighted.

Very near some Roman ruins, and situated near the ridge line that once had many windmills. Astonishing views of the sea. Located with good access to the Rota Vicentina trail network and near the interesting city of Santiago do Cacém . A nice base from which to visit nearby beaches. Accommodation facilities very new, aesthetic, clean, lovely.

A really nice hotel about 20 kilometeres from the coast; temperature higher than on the coast. Kind staff. Good hiking trails in the neighborhood and by the coast. Very nice tasting menu at the hotel with regional dishes. The rooms were well equipped with good beds.

Everyone at the hotel was super accommodating and helpful. We had a pet in a nearby hospital and their concern and thoughtfulness was appreciated during the difficult time. Glad we were able to stay here with the great facilities, view and staff.

More like a b&b than hotel accommodation. Very run down and isolated. Hostess very loud when talking to others in the phone. Would not recommend.

It's perfect, the place, the views, the breakfast they bring to our room, the spaces around. I don't have enough words to explain it. It was excellent. I want to come back.
