A truly beautiful and great stay at a very cozy Casa Bugalha. It was really cute and nicely decorated. We only missed WiFi as there was no reception for us (Vodafone, from Czech republic), but we enjoyed the internet detox a lot and it went well with the historic atmosphere of Sortelha town and Casa Bugalha :)

We left feeling it was too short of a stay.

We left feeling it was too short of a stay. Our stone house was called Casa da Calçada was perfect. the owner left us everything we needed including wood to have a fire all night. We had lunch at a restaurant called O Foral and we had an excellent, generous meal for a very affordable price. Highly recommend both places. The village is just gorgeous with stunning views of the surrounding areas. We felt like we were on a fairy tale world out of a Grimm's world. will definitely have to go back for a longer stay.

We loved the authenticity of O Cantinho da Ana and would definitely stay there again. When we drove to this village, we were beginning to think we were on the wrong road, then we crested a hill and suddenly were in the midst of a charming castle village. O Cantinho da Ana was clean, well stocked, and had a comfortable, big bed. Nice modern facilities in an a “middle age” village. There was a lovely outdoor seating area for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Every detail has been well executed. We regret not staying longer. There is also a restaurant nearby

Cool little village within the old castle walls.

Cool little village within the old castle walls. We stayed the night but a day visit (1 or 2 hours) would be more than enough time to enjoy this place. If in the area definitely worth the time to visit.
