Nice place but the main street was under construction.
Nice place but the main street was under construction. So not that pretty, but once it will be finished it will be nice. Did two hikes and got good info at the tourist information. Try the creps at the small café near to the church in the new buildings. Delicious

But Le Cilaos is really nice, with a nice heated pool and a dazzling view of the highest mountain on the island. From the pool and the restaurant. It's a bit tired now, it couldn't have four stars in Paris, but it's OK here. Excellent food over the weekend with a wide choice of buffet for dinner and breakfast. We'd love to come back again sometime...

Welcome drink was a nice touch. We enjoyed the jacuzzi on a rainy afternoon. The room is modern and comfortable. Location is great - short walk to centre of Cilaos. Car Park is also a plus.

The (shared) bathroom was cleaned daily and always sparkling clean. The rooms are large and our had lovely views of Notre Dame de Cilaos and Piton des Neiges. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious food.
