The property is lovely and very well kept. The room is large with all amenities and a garden. The host was super nice and accommodating. We wanted to leave early to enjoy trekking under the sun while it was still cool and she prepared a very good and copious breakfast (just loved the fried manioc) at dawn.
The location is ideal to access trekking paths and to enjoy a local meal Chez Serge.

The Museum of Music & Instuments of the Indian Ocean is not to be missed! Maison Folio is also worth a visit to see both the house and beautiful garden. We ate dinner at Chez Alice - best to pre-book as it is popular. We had the plat du jour for 22 Euros and were very satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the food. It would have been better to stay at least 2 nights in Salazie and done some walking in the surrounds.Pam from PerthAustralia

Alice speaks perfect English. The house is on a small hill and you have a nice view (you can even see waterfalls). You have a lot of space to spread out. The terrace on both sides is also very large. The small towns of Salazie and Hell Bourg are not far from here. We felt very good and had a great time! On the top of it there was a unbelievable rainbow when we arrived.

The lady of the house keeps the property in an excellent state and everything is as clean as in a 5 star hotel. Furthermore, she is very attentive and serves an epic breakfast, directs you to the few restaurants around and the property is very close to hiking trails that go into Mafate.
