Hotels near Botei

This place was surprisingly nice for being off the beaten path like it is. We spent two wonderful weeks in Romania. The stop at Hotel Nicolas was on our way from Bucovina toward the Sibiu area. I was looking on Booking.com for a good place to stay and this one popped up. It is about 30 minutes from Turda and the salt mines so it may attract visitors from there. We felt very lucky to find such a nice place in what seemed to be off the beaten track. We got lucky. I don't think they have many American visitors either. Maybe all visitors are treated like we were, but they made us feel very special. We did eat supper there. I had chocolate pancakes and my husband had a burger. It was delicious. Nicolas, himself, came to visit and brought along some delicious treats too. And I know he was disappointed to find out we don't drink alcohol because he wanted to treat us to some of his father's homemade brew. Breakfast was also included. I believe my husband had an English breakfast. I saw oatmeal on the menu and decided to go with that. I didn't think it would probably be enough for me. I love breakfast, but this was unique and delicious. It was served in a large goblet. I'm not sure it had any milk in it, but maybe honey and walnuts and not soggy at all. I wish I knew the recipe and had taken a picture of it. It was an excellent and interesting stop on our trip and I'm very glad we found it. There was also fruit, water, coffee and tea available in the room. Sorry the picture of the room was taken after we had already made ourselves comfortable. It was also VERY reasonably priced!!

Quiet location not far from Turzii Gorges. The owner was very kind. Everything is brand new and very clean. Good price. One feels very welcome to stay here. The property also has a pool, restaurant, and a small market.

We enjoyed our 4 days stay in La Hacienda. This small family business is well managed, friendly, customer oriented. The food portions were big and the quality great, for super reasonable prices. Will definitely be coming back!

It was a nice place for one night rest.

I enjoyed the quiet country side and the beautiful country life. With great comforting home like experience. A nice pleasant place with friendly people.
