The meat at the restaurant, tried to find similar meat elsewhere in Bulgaria bc we really loved it and couldn’t. The guy speaking English working for the hotel is really nice and friendly. We hope one day to come back

The bed is wide and comfortable, the blankets are heavy but that is necessary because it can get cold at night. The atmosphere around the property is very nice - you are staying in the mountains along the Transfagarash road, only 15 min drive from the top of the pass. The hosts are very accommodating and super helpful.

Beautiful hotel with clean rooms, in a gorgeous lakefront setting providing impeccable service. The breakfast was delicious and staff was outstanding. This is one of our favorite places to visit whenever we visit Romania. We also saw a few bears on our drive to the hotel which made our trip exciting.
