Great location to visit the Prislop Monastery, very comfortable, good food and friendly staff. Would also be a great location for organised celebrations in summer or longer stays for relaxing in the region. Unfortunately we had only 1 night. Highly recommended

A very comfortable, beautiful, spotless, and well-equipped room with a spacious bathroom featuring a shower. In the room: cupboards, a refrigerator, and a TV, fast Wi-Fi, a small table, and chairs. There is also a small, nicely arranged shared kitchenette available on site. Guests can also enjoy a beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained garden with outdoor furniture, a barbecue, and private parking. The property is located in a quiet and pleasant area. It is an excellent starting point for trips to the Retezat Mountains (about a 30-minute drive to trailheads in Râușor). Many attractions are nearby (within walking distance is the village of Densuș with the oldest stone church in Romania; the area also features a geopark and a bison reserve). An outstanding host – Mira: very professional, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We highly recommend ordering breakfasts, which are based on local products, delicious, and varied (attached photos). Breakfasts prepared by Manuela, the host’s mother, were simply wonderful!

I was extremely pleased with my stay at Pensiunea Sarmis in Sarmizegetusa, Romania! The room was very cozy, clean and warm, which made my holiday even more enjoyable. The water in the bathroom was always warm, which is important for a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the free pool, which was a great way to relax after a day of sightseeing. The only downside was that the sauna was chargeable, but that didn't detract from my overall impression of the hotel. Everything at Pensiunea Sarmis is done with attention to detail and style, the interior is all wood and looks very beautiful and authentic. The tavern is simply amazing - with the style of a hunting lodge, filled with furs and elements from nature, which creates a cozy and unique atmosphere. I had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time here. The cabin is beautiful, with stunning views all around. The lake next to the house, the fire pit, and the hammock made the experience truly unforgettable. We absolutely loved our stay.
