IrelandThe hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They were kind, courteous and offered us free coffees before we left in the morning. We visited as part of a walking tour and to have such a warm welcome is very much appreciated.
The villa itself is beautifully decorated and very clean. Everything was classy and spotless. It was ideal for a night's rest before we continued on our way.

Orșova is a nice and quite town, with a very good location...
Orșova is a nice and quite town, with a very good location at along the Danube at the end of the Danube Gorge. The tourist can easily choose a boat trip to the Danube Gorge or drive to Cerna Valley to hike some of the numerous spectacular trails. Though the touristic potential is very high, Orșova still need quite some investments to make it more attractive.

A peaceful gem along the Danube.
A peaceful gem along the Danube. Stunning landscapes, top hiking nearby. Great town for walking. Good cafes, workable restaurants. Has mainstream grocery stores and even a good quality gym. Prices are low for a westerner, even compared with larger cities in Romania. Would easily visit again

I recommend hiking the "Ciucarul Mare" track and doing a bicycle tour along the Danube river, starting in the village of Eselnita and cover the most spectaculous part by going (at least) as far as Dubova.

The only thing to be seen in this city is the lake, and a boat trip on the Danube. There is nothing else to do in the city, no activities, no bars, many restaurants were closed, the buildings are old and not renovated with a great lack of facilities. The view of the city is sad.

Endless possibilities of boat tours on the lake with lot to see.
Beautiful park in the town center.
Beautiful monasteries near by (St. Anna and Vodite).
Short ride away from Drobeta Turnu Severin on one side and Baile Herculane on the other with a lot more amazing places to see.
Just a perfect place for rest from the city rowd.

It is a nice city along the Danube, excellent starting point for boat trips.
The city is nice and quiet, and all good things are near the center.
Great to the take long evening walks on the promenade, but prepare for it with some mosquito repellent.

One of the very few hotels in the area that would meet most people's expectations of a decent, well run, modern hotel. Room was clean & comfortable, had a balcony, views of the danube and quiet air con that worked. Restaurant food was really good and great value. Staff friendly. Outside pool, looked good, but didn't get round to trying. On site free parking. Supermarket couple of minutes' drive away. 20 mins' drive from King Decebalus rock sculpture.

"The accommodation is wonderful, nicely and tastefully furnished with an excellent bed. It is located in a quiet area of Orșova and offers a beautiful view of the Danube. The summer kitchen is well equipped and allows for the preparation of breakfast as well as other meals. The hosts are friendly and accommodating."

It is a great place to stay en route from Poland to Greece.
But not only for one night, even longer... :) Beautiful view for the whole Orsova during the night. Nice swimming pool.
And extremely friendly owner. Kind regards - for sure we will back and stay longer :)

The hotel is brand new.
Very clean, the location is very nice.
Room was very spacious, restaurant bar was also quite good.
We only had one night stop but the city is worth to visit with Danube attractions.
