Very clean and quiet city. I loved our trip to Lake Kivu. Scenic journey, top class roads, intentional greenery everywhere. Akagera national is also a must. Loved the adventure the experience with nature especially for my girls. Top top tourist destination for anyone who needs to reset and just enjoy nature.

I love Kigali and all Rwanda.

I love Kigali and all Rwanda. I've been visiting the country for work since 1982 - but have done quite a lot of visiting and sight seeing along the way - and it has improved out of all comparison since my early visits! The mountain gorrillas visit is quite expensive but well worth the expense. The Nyungwe natural forest (chimpanzees, forest canopy walk and a huge variety of birds) and the Akagera Safari Park are also worth visiting. The genocide memorial centre at Gisozi (a suburb of Kigali) should be included in any visit to the country The country is very secure and so clean that you could nearly eat your dinner off the streets. Rwandans generally obey the rules. Traffic is very busy, but unlike most of East Africa, it is well behaved, with perhaps a few exceptions among the motorcycle taxis... (e.g. Vehicles will stop for people on pedestrian crossings.) Speed limits are rigorously enforced. The people are very friendly. They are still very conscious of the genocide of the 1990s but are making great efforts at reconciliation. If you're rude enough to ask whether someone is Tutsi or Hutu you are most likely to be told "I'm Rwandese!" I would tell anyone "YOU MUST VISIT RWANDA!"

The cleanliness and hospitality of Rwandans was spot on. As a catholic it was my first time to hear of the Marian apparition and I thin it could be a good sit for pilgrimage and will definitely return to pray at the site.

Great country Rwanda, beautiful city Kigali. It was an interesting trip for my family. We had the opportunity to drive around the city to experience the people, culture, food, etc. Everything was amazing. To cap it all, it is a very safe city.

the city is cleaner than most europeans capitals and 100%...

the city is cleaner than most europeans capitals and 100% safer and I mean for women too, as this is a bugbear of mine. It is lively and there are plenty of places to eat, see galleries and museums. The coffee shops are great and atmospheric and I recommend not going to the chains and try the locals. There's even one with a bookshop and rooftop attached. Do go and visit the amazing new art foundation called GICA to discover local and international contemporary artists.

The safety? Goodness!

The safety? Goodness! if you enjoy walking, Kigali is it for you since you can do so carefree knowing you will be just fine and the only risk would be getting lost if you don't know where you are going and even then- you can always ask. Its also so easy to get around via cab/taxi or motorcycle. This town is calm. I loved it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent services of Ernest Hitamungu. To be picked up at the airport and dropped off on time calmed all fears. I highly recommend Ernest to anyone who's visiting Rwanda. Kigali Aromas Home View is very safe. The location is equally ideal, the Genocide Memorial is only a walking distance . City Centre is also accessible.
