I went to Abha with family by driving 1500 kilometers but it was a disappointing tour. Compared to Taif, Abha is not a preferable place to visit,
The city is congested.
Hotel are expensive.
Tourist places are dispersed; lack display of info; and not well maintained.
Most of the roads are missing protective fences as sides are very deep.

Abha is really a beautiful city to visit within the Asir region. I like the climate and the serenity of the landscape. I feel like I am home every time I visit this place. Jacaranda season is an added factor to the beauty of Abha. I like sitting facing the horizon like we are not under stress. Peace is what I feel when watching the trees and nature. We visited the Joy Venue, Dabab walkway, Khamis Mushayt Rose Garden, grape farm, strawberry farm, Art Street, and many other places. We stayed in the Golden New Jwan Hotel. But there is too much traffic during nighttime.

The weather was too good and atmosphere was amazing. We visited different attractions.All so cool and attractive. One thing we missed walking pavement area around the roads. We love to explore by walk. But seems scary sometimes. Especially crossing the roads.Needs a bit more zebra crossings and awareness. We love to come again and again. Rashid mall reminded us back home Trafford centre Manchester.Mesmerising views,shopping malls,kids play area and cabin car.All good.

I loved walking around the area of Jacaranda Park, The Art...
I loved walking around the area of Jacaranda Park, The Art Street, and Aseer shopping district. The traditional restaurant Bab Altu-rath was also close-by and serves huge, delicious meals at a very reasonable price.
I highly recommend Abha Tour Co. and their 6-hour tour to Rijal Almaa, which is the most beautiful heritage village in Saudi Arabia, and the mountainous areas in the surrounding provinces/villages.

It is such a quiet and serene place. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful particularly Mr Muhammad who went beyond his normal duties to make our stay in Abha and the hotel really wonderful.
