Located in the popular Åre ski resort, this stylish hotel offers ski-to-door accommodations, views of Renfjället Mountain and free use of saunas, steam baths and outdoor hot tubs. The location is perfect, close to the ski-lift. Good breakfast. Delicious dinners.
Located just 459 feet from Bergabanan ski elevator, the traditional Hotel Åregården is located in the heart of Åre. This rustic-chic alpine hotel offers a cocktail bar and impressive mountain views. Great staff that was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful in arranging for me to get breakfast to take away on the day that I left early. Love the cozy atmosphere and common areas in the hotel. Nice location and the room was nice.
Åre Torg Hotell is located in Åre, a 6-minute walk from Åre Train Station and 200 yards from Åre Torg. The property has ski-to-door access and ski storage space, as well as a restaurant and a bar. Delicious breakfast, very clean rooms, responsive and friendly staff, convenient location.
Åre Bed & Breakfast is located in Åre and is only 1.1 mi from the Åre Kabinbanan ski elevator and 0.6 mi from Åre Torg, the town square. WiFi and parking are free. Very nice, clean, quiet and comfortable place. Will definitely come back when I am in Are again. Really enjoyed breakfast - not just food but also vibes of the place. Owners were super kind and helpful. Complimentary tea/coffee and use of washing machine is just another plus.

Are was great, but the surroundings were amazing. Loved staying in the town near the funicular railway, however, we were XC skiing so had to drive to the resorts. Skiied at Bjornen, but the real secret is to drive out to Valadalen which is magical. Beautiful scenery, clean air, very few people and fabulously maintained ski tracks.
Pretty nice place for cross-country skiing! The trucks in Bjornen are very well structured: 1,3,5,7.5,10 and 15 km, with and without steep slopes. Glogg was served for free on the Christmas Eve. Very good cafes and ski rental services.
Excellent location for anyone looking for some adventurous outdoor activities. Beautiful scenery, fresh air and a very pleasant atmosphere. My favorite locations include Åreskutan (the peak of Mount Åre) accessible via cable car or hiking, the chocolate factory and also the waterfall Ristafallet located about 15 km from Åre.
Åre is an amazing skii resort, we go every year. From London you can fly to Trondheim and rent a car and drive to Åre or take a connecting flight from stockholm. Åre is very child friendly, relaxed. Easy to get around. Perfect with a little bit older kids if you are skiing. Feels very safe and I never worry about leaving kids ( 11-13 ) around by myself. Loads of very nice resturants and high quality food to choose from.
Are, Bjornen is the perfect ski resort for families. Our 6yr old had a wonderful time! The staff are wonderful and the whole resort is very child-friendly. The runs are wide and this made it possible for our 6yr old to manage red runs by the end of our weeks stay. There is a free ski bus which takes you around to the other areas (eg. Are and Duved). It took us between 1.5 - 2 hours to ski from Are torg back to Bjornen.
I was at Åre with two teenage boys, and we focused on skiing and snowboarding, and it was perfect for that. A very wide variety of pistes over a wide area allowing for exploration and getting to try out a new area every day. In the end, however, we found the best pistes or at least the ones that we liked the most, to be closest to the hotel, which was great. Our hotel was accessible to Åre town by the funicular train, which was quaint, although slow. We ate mostly at the hotel or at the many lunch venues on the pistes. We also ate in Åre, but found all the recommended venues to be full, so I assume booking is necessary. The less crowded venues were fine to eat at, so it was not a problem.
An outstanding appartment- great views over Åre Lake and the village. Fully equipped kitchen, sauna, spacious living room/kitchen, two large bedrooms and two smaller ones - plenty of space as we were a family of four. Excellent facilities, from indoor parking to drying cupboard (for clothes) - we found all we needed. Truly a home away from home.
Smack bang in the center of Are, really close to a playground and an amazing local coffee shop. The room was small, but clean and comfy and it was really easy to contact the hosts to drop bags off early and leave them after checking out. The keys were deposited for us inside the entrance door so check in and check out was super convenient.
Very nice, clean, quiet and comfortable place. Will definitely come back when I am in Are again. Really enjoyed breakfast - not just food but also vibes of the place. Owners were super kind and helpful. Complimentary tea/coffee and use of washing machine is just another plus.
The personal was very helpful, the facility has almost everything you need and the rooms are comfortable and big. The pool area is a great especially after sports.
The central location is obviously a big plus. Even after getting to the hotel tired in the evening we could stil go out for a drink with minimal effort.
The design of the place. The choice at breakfast. The spacious room. The hotel is located at the heartbeat of Åre.
Location is 5+! Rooms are clean and everything is there. I like they give option to clean yourself and save by that.
The huts are placed in a pretty location. And it's nice that the huts are separate.
Location - close to "everything" (Åre Torg, Åre Station/ICA, Bergbanan).
- Friendly and customer oriented staff - Cosy seating area any fire places
We got a real nice Christmasy feeling from our stay in Are.
Nice and helpful staff. The location and common area.
Location was good, sauna was good. Nice common area.
