If you love snow during your winter holiday, go to...

If you love snow during your winter holiday, go to Funäsdalen. We had upto 120cm! Daily freshly prepared cross country tracks and various downhill skiing opportunities. Do you like snow mobiles? It is heaven there! Do you not use them? Be prepared for a lot of noise! However, if you want to do winter hiking on prepared pathes, this is not the place to be.

I really enjoyed staying at the Vandrarhem. Its very close to the main bus stop and in the city centre of Funäsdalen near by slopes and shops. The personnel was very nice, and even though I arrived late, it was extremely easy to check in. The facilities are made for skiers, so there is plenty of room if you have gears with you. The clientele was very mix: families, young couples with children, older international couples, teenagers, and skiers. I really enjoyed it!

Excellent location since it was a bit outside Funäsdalen and away from people and traffic but still only 5min by car to Funäsdalen center and/or ski tracks. Very nice with the separate kitchen in my „stuga“, and very dog-friendly. For New Year it was fantastic that there were (almost) no fireworks nearby. Both the accommodation and the shower and toilet were clean and worked well. Happy I selected this accommodation spontaneously when my travel plans had changed.

The hotel has an overall nice and cozy atmosphere with candles in the lobby and a beautiful and nice touch to the lobby and restaurant, and the staff is sweet and helpful. Very nice meals to order in the lobby. We travelled with our dogs and felt very welcome. There is also a nice walking route just accross the hotel.
