The hotel is located in a rather ugly building, presumably from the Seventies, in the middle of Hjø. Our room was on the ground floor and faced the parking lot in front of the hotel (lake view is possibly more expensive). Nevertheless, it was fairly quiet. The personnel was professionally friendly. The breakfast buffet was extensive. We did not eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant. If coming to Hjø again, we would consider staying in Hotel Bellevue again.

We loved the alpacas!! The host was nice. We did expect it to be layed out differently since it is a bed and breakfast, but it appears more like a pension or hotel. It is indeed quite big! But we had a nice spacious room with a big bathroom and a nice view outside. It is very closeby to Hjo where there is a cute villagecentre with lots of nice viewpoints of the lake and some good cafes and restaurants.

I was riding through Sweden on my bike and this seemed like the perfect place to stop. The hotel was nice and the staff super flexible with my check-in considering that I booked on the day and arrived some days later.

We stopped for one night only but we wish we had stayed much longer to enjoy the amazing lamas in the garden, the ping pong table, the delicious breakfast and the beautiful surroundings (Hjo 😍)
