We got a bit later for the dinner, but still were abe to get it. Amazing. All wa great, a bed bit too soft for our liking, but this is just our preference. We slept very well and enjoyed the stay.

Umea is a small city.

Umea is a small city. We were travelling through And so one night was enough. There were a few good bars and pubs and places to eat in the evening. I would imagine it would be very pretty in the summer but in march it is a bit less exciting. We were travelling north from umea which was only a transfer for us overnight, to catch a coach the next day. The airport is a fair distance from the city. We took a taxi into the city on arrival which was about €60.00. On our return trip we took the direct bus from umea to The airport which was easy to find in the city centre and cost €2.50 each!!

Nice city, beautiful during winter, specially when there is...

Nice city, beautiful during winter, specially when there is a lot of snow. A lot of nature around the city. Felt easy to get around the city, and also easy to get from the airport to city center. One place to check: Lottas Krog & Pub - Good selection of beers and great food.

My visit to Umeå left me thoroughly impressed with both the city and its people. The city itself is a harmonious mix of modernity and tradition. Umeå is known for its thriving arts scene, and it certainly lives up to its reputation as a European Capital of Culture. Nature lovers will find Umeå a paradise, with its close proximity to lush forests, serene rivers, and the stunning coastline of the Gulf of Bothnia. The city is designed with nature in mind, with plenty of parks and green spaces to explore. The Ume River, which runs through the city, provides picturesque views and is perfect for a leisurely walk or bike ride. But what truly makes Umeå special are its people. The residents of Umeå are some of the friendliest and most welcoming individuals I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Despite the city’s northern location, the warmth of its people is palpable. Whether asking for directions, recommendations, or just striking up a casual conversation, the locals are always eager to help with a genuine smile. There’s a strong sense of community in Umeå, and it’s easy to feel at home even if you’re just visiting.

Beautiful, but geografically not very different from our starting cityin Vasa, Finland. Bars and restaurants were really good. Everything is quite easy accessable, and most places we visited were also wheelchair friendly.

The hotel is a rather quirky and personable stay in Umea. The breakfast was fantastic and the room generally pleasant, although the view could've been improved. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind throughout my stay. The breakfast catered satisfactorily to a vegan diet, but what was there was delicious.

Overall the best package in Umea. Very friendly and helpful staff. Gym, Sauna, Breakfast/Dinner/Fika all included, big rooms, great location. I had travelled to Umea many times and therefore seen many different hotels. However, for my needs (young family) this one is definitely the best.

Small apartment, but it had everything I needed for my stay in Umeå. Very welcoming hosts, they picked me up when I arrived, and I was able to borrow a bike during my stay. Thanks again for the lovely stay in a very pretty, more countryside area!

Perfect for one night stay right on E4 if you're going to or returning from North, decent breakfast, free parking next to the hotel, spacious room with extra bed for child. Flexible check-in with a code if you're outside the opening hours!
