Room Aria was perfect for two days off of thru hiking. The room was spacious and comfortable and even laundry was available in the private bathroom! The host was friendly and accommodating and I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a cleaner place.

This is a perfect place for exploring Kobarid and the surrounding areas. The rooms are small but comfortable and very clean. The shared spaces are well stocked (kettle, tea/coffee, utensils, etc.) and the showers/WCs are also very clean. Breakfast is delicious - self-serve espresso machine, scrambled eggs, meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt and more. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and went out of their way to help me out. I would absolutely stay here again if I am in Kobarid!

The location was amazing. We arrived just in time for a local festival and could watch the band perform from our window. Cafés, bakery, and restaurants are short walk away, and it’s located one minute drive from the main road. Very close to all the main attractions in the area as well. The room and the bathroom were bigger than we expected, with high ceilings and sunlight that fill it with natural light all day. The sauna and jacuzzi were in perfect condition, though the sauna does take a bit of time to heat up but it is expected. The kitchen was clean and fully equipped, even though we didn’t use it. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, and there’s a large smart TV in front of the bed for relaxing at the end of the day. Overall, it was a perfect place to stay during our vacation and hoping to come back someday!

We have been here for the second time. Masera is perfect. Beautiful view on the mountains, the sights we wanted to visit were all close. Restaurants and grocery are just a few minutes walk. The apartment is big and confortable, very well equipped. The owner lady is helpful.

Kobarid is a nice little town situated on Soča river between Tolmin and Bovec. There are numerous possibilities of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, paragliding, kayaking or simply taking a dip in stunningly turquoise Soča. Short drive to Nadiža river which is also beautiful. Kozjak waterfall and hanging bridges are obligatory to visit.

Kobarid is a very charming place, ideal for an active vacation. However, there aren’t many cycling routes separate from the main road, which can sometimes feel inconvenient or less safe. Compared to other nearby towns, Kobarid is quite small.

Kobarid is a nice town by the river Soca with only cca 1000...

Kobarid is a nice town by the river Soca with only cca 1000 inhabitants, but as a regional center the town serves a cca 5000 heads strong community. Worth to visit the Kobarski Muzej (WWI museum), the town center with the church, restaurants and very very good ice cream. Do not miss to climb up to the church and Italian monument, check out the Napoleonov most (Napoleon's bridge) and the Slap Kozjak (Kozjak waterfall). These are all accessible on foot. You can also take a tour following a marked hiking trail, see the beautiful nature, the mountains, the emerald color of the Soca river, historical monuments line WWI trenches and forts all along the river. Enjoy yourselves!

My visit to Kobarid (Caporetto) was primarily to spend time...

My visit to Kobarid (Caporetto) was primarily to spend time in its superb war museum and the WWI open air museum on the Kolovrat 15 kms to the east. As mid-September is classed as 'out-of-season' getting to the latter proved difficult (no public transport out of season!) but with the kindness of strangers - the people of Kobarid - I was able to make it there. The scenery in this part of Slovenia is spectacularly beautiful, the people of Kobarid warm, helpful and friendly. I hope to go back some day.

Kobarid is great for hiking.

Kobarid is great for hiking. Unfortunately I was there when it was raining for days and didn't dare to do longer hikes. There is a great museum in town, but after having seen that, there's not much to do when the weather is bad. When the weather is nice, there are many great hiking routes from and to here, and buses also help you get back from Tolmin or Bovec. Unfortunately some other non-round hikes end in Magozd or Dreznica and there is no public transportation to get back to Kobarid. I would definitely recommend the town for 1-2 days to pass through, see the Napoleon bridge and Kozjak waterfall, and check the museum!

Kobarid was an excellent base to see sites around the Soca valley. We particularly enjoyed the pass to Predil with its ruined fortresses, the Boka waterfall, the WW1 museum, the Italian mausoleum, and the trench lines at Kolovrat.

Loved our short stay in Kobarid at Apartments Pri nas. The property is very well maintained and the host was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with. Our rooms were clean, spacious, and had the necessary amenities. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was spotless. Would've loved to spend some time in the hot tub, but we were short on time and couldn't do it. Overall a great experience and I would love to return someday!

It was very clean and brand new premisses. They take care of all the details for comfort and safety. The kitchen has all the necessary things for cooking and storage your food, even the possibility to label them to put into the fridge. The bathroom was clean and tidy, confortable showers and beds. Primoz the host was the best host we have ever had. He went out of his way to help us with anything we wanted and to give us a real Slovenian experience. The apartment had amazing views and the lounge area was quite large. It was in a lovely quiet location and could walk everywhere we wanted to go in Kobarid.
