An absolutely fabulous place! We had a very nice room with harbor view, the food in their Tapas bar was great, the wine and esp. the champagne simply awesome! A very beautiful beach, free to the hotel guests, is right across the street. There are also many very good restaurants in the neighborhood. I can highly recommend La Mar!
Surrounded by pine trees, Apollo Hotel is located on a gentle slope close to the main promenade of Portoroz. It offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with balconies.

We had a family suite, and enough beds for four of us. The room had a nice view from the balcony.
I liked the foam pillows in the beds. Also, the breakfast was decent. We didn't use the pool since we only stayed for one night, but the pool looks nice. Very friendly people work at reception.
Parking is convenient (right next to the hotel) and is Free.

Breakfast was very rich and plenty with a view to the sea.
Staff was always friendly and cheerful. If we wanted to stay longer in bed in the morning, nobody was bothering us.
Minifridge was available. AC was very quiet.
Welcome drink on the rooftop bar is also a plus.
Got even a goodbye gift - car airfreshener.

Portorož is the most popular beach resort on Slovenia’s small but undulating coastline. It was first developed as a health resort and several spas remain. The largest is the Terme & Wellness LifeClass Portorož, offering treatments using local products such as salt pan mud, seawater and thermal mineral water.
The huge complex is surrounded by some of the 4 and 5-star hotels available on Booking.com. Nearby is the Hotel Kempinski Palace, a historic property built in 1910 as a retreat for Austro-Hungarian officials. Other Portorož accommodation options include guest houses with pools and beachfront apartments.
The beaches are of course why most people come. The main, sandy beach is awash with colourful parasols in summer, while offshore watersports include diving and water skiing. Boat trips from the marina sail along the coast and even to Venice and Trieste in Italy.
As the temperature cools down, the nightlife heats up as people start hitting the bars and clubs. Several casinos also provide another way to spend some time…and money, and there are also relaxed restaurants where you can enjoy the sunset.
Portorož Airport is just south of the city and in the opposite direction is Piran whose Venetian old town spread over a promontory provides a more cultural offering.
Easily accessible, comfort, enough shopping facilities, bars, restaurants of every kind, stroll space, panoramic views, marina very close, nature, ... Really a cute place to stay for a week.
I recommend every traveller to visit it at least once in your life.

Very nice swimming pools with sea and termal water.
Our food was delicious, especially sea food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms we stayed in were very neat and tidy.
Although there were not enough parking spaces, the staff tried very hard to provide us with payable parking.

A very bad experience, from everything that can be said about a hotel that does not respect itself.
We booked a Mosim room, paid in advance and received "another product",
Although there was a lack of reference, and the answer was
"Sorry. Although you did not receive the room you paid for and booked a month ago,
The hotel is full and you are welcome to stay in the room even though it is bad and not suitable for the reservation. Unprofessionalism, indifference and disdain even though they realized they were wrong,
And they didn't try to solve the problem they had. We paid full price, and we did not receive the product (a room that did not match our wishes and conditions) and we did not even receive a refund for the difference between the room we ordered and the room we received.
We got a room on the first floor with a partial sea view, which was definitely a plus as I hadn't booked any sea view. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food, and dinner was really good as well. The staff was friendly and there were no issues with the hotel during our stay. Hotel Apollo is up the hill in Portoroz, but that is actually an advantage in my opinion because there's very little car traffic next to the hotel. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
The location is perfect - in the middle between Portoroz and Piran - 10 minutes walk to Portoroz and 20 minutes walk to Piran.
There is a nice small strip of bars, restaurants, kiosks, shops at the location itself.
Breakfast is excellent, provided at the newer hotel nearby.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is in the very center of Portoroz, but Piran is also reachable by walking. The room was a bit small, but just for sleeping is okay. The breakfast was perfect and offered various choices. Parking on the spot is also perfect.
We had a great time in slovenia. The apartment is well-equipped, comfortable and beautifully situated. We were greeted well. I heartily recommend. I greet the hosts and the nice cat Lola. I'd like to come back
