You drive from one village to another in this scenic, green and gorgeous landscape. A church and houses, that's all there is in each village until you reach Plešivec, where we booked this B&B, very neat, very comfortable and next to the only nice restaurant we saw in miles. Spacy room, view onto the mountains, supermarket at 500 m. In other words: the best place to choose as a starting point for this area. The host was most helpful and e.g. helped us to book a cart ride to the wild horses in the nearby Aggtelek National Park. This is the one thing you need to do! Janos Kovacs (in Josvafo) only speaks Hungarian, but the B&B lady can help you (his phone +36 30 33 11 726).

Great remote location close to nature, without any neigbors. Nicely equipped kitchen, dining and living room, clean rooms. Indoor and outdoor fireplace, a barbecue place and a nice hot jacuzzi. There's a camping closeby where you can try a zipline or horseriding and visit the caves. We had a great time, the kids enjoyed it a lot!

The location is perfect if you are looking for some getaway from the city. House is new, spacious and comfortable. Beautiful view, closeness to the nature and some hiking trails. You are also really close to the Aggteleki National Park that Has a lot to offer. It was an ideal ending of our whole trip 😉

Recently renowated, size ok for 2 adults + kid. Parking in front of the building. It is close to Betliar Kastelier and its park, so it is very nice to stay with a dog.
