Located just 984 feet from Andrej Hlinka Square, Hotel Kultúra has its own cinema and concert hall. There is a lobby bar with a terrace facing the town’s historical center. The room was clean, tastefully appointed and of adequate size. The breakfast was neither the best nor worst I have had since being in central Europe.
Enjoying a quiet location 2625 feet from Ružomberok's center, Penzion Blesk offers an on-site Finnish sauna and a restaurant serving Slovak specialties. Location close to the city centre, 10 minutes walk. Fridge in the room. Quiet area. Amazing wellness in the hotel.
Located in Ružomberok, 6.2 mi from Ruzomberok - Malino Brdo, Penzión Jánošíkova Krčma features accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a bar and a terrace. Everything was great, lovely staff, very helpful. They had an excellent restaurant and bar downstairs. The location is great, 5 minute drive to Ruzemberok and 15 minutes to Kubinska Hola for skiing. The nature around is gorgeous!
The family-run Penzion Andrej features a fireplace, a small library suitable for reading and free Wi-Fi. Very clean, cozy, good location. Easy to be found. I added the breakfast: it was nice, I liked that very much. The stuff was kind and helpful with the info of the city and some places nearby, too. If I need a hotel in this city again, I'd like to choose this one.
Located in Ružomberok, just 1312 feet from Ruzomberok - Malino Brdo, Apartment studio No.314 in Fatrapark1 provides beachfront accommodations with a restaurant, a bar, a shared lounge and free WiFi. A huge thanks to the lady at the reception, who helped us with the taxi reservation and our luggages. Very nice place in a wonderful nature, i recommand warmly!

A very good option for a couple or small family. Good breakfast (not included). 30 minuets drive from Liptovsky Mikulas (Tatralandia Park) and other attractions.
I really enjoy Ruzomberok, been there twice now for sightseeing. It is a peaceful, quiet mountain town, supposedly offering all sorts of hiking and skiing opportunities. Not being a person who engages in those too much, the town is still an excellent place to relax and take your mind off of your everyday life.
The town centre is rather compact, the services and variaty of shops are slowly improving, shame not all the staff speak English and some are lacking manners especially restaurant at hotel Kultura - sorry to say this but the staff was a bit miserable! Some of the buildings need more work. The town has got a great potential but it is not utilised properly.
Nice city. Has everything you need. Gas stations, 2 Tesco, university, near road, good view. Just about 15km away from bigger city- L.Mikulaš. We did not eat in Ružomberok, but we eated at motel. There was also some museum.
Just look at Vlkolinec - UNESCO heritage site little village, Likavka castle, Malino Brdo - skiing and walking in the nature in summer time, surrounding are OK, Ruzomberok as town - nothing special. Besenova - hot spring spa close by - very nice place.
We've been visiting mostly the places around the town with our 6 y.o. son and spent a few nice and relaxed days there. Generally, the Slovakia is definitely worth to visit country, as the people are friendly, there are plenty things to see and the cuisine is tasty. We did the Demianowska Freedom cave, the Oravski Castle, the mountain walk to Vilkolinec and also the Tatralandia aquapark. We've also visited two other towns in the area - the Dolny Kubin and the Liptowski Mikulash The aquapark we liked the least, as it was overcrowded, overpriced, with the very average quality of catering there. But on the other side the most of them are overcrowded. :))) The best restaurants in Ruzemberk we've been to - are the Salas Krajinka and the Koliba u Dobreho Pastiera. Both serves the quality food at affordable price. The Salas place is a bit outside of the town, it's more like a village-style cantine, but definitely worth visiting. The kids can see a ship's farm there as well as some other animals on the household, there is also a playground for kids. There are little shops with home made food like cheese, jam, honey, pastry and so on. The whole area is nicely done.
There is billiard and table tennis (which we did not use :)) and also a small pond on the property and playground for kids. There are also couple of places for BBQ. We guess they also rent bicycles at the property. It’s about 15min by car to Vlkolínec (follow the street signs, not google maps)
Its a cosy little cottege in the woods next to the blue slope. Feels like home, a nice fireplace in the living room. View of the mountains from the windows. The best equiped kitchen! Nice big table to sit around. The hosts are always ready to help! We will definitely come back!
