They have great ice cream in the city centrum. Interesting historical sightseeing - the castle and related expositions. Lovely park/forest right under the castle. Cofee Lab - Roastery caffé next to waterman´s fountain is cool, highly recommended.

My wife's home town so we go there every other year or so.
My wife's home town so we go there every other year or so. I've been to a few places in Slovakia (Bratislava, Zilina, Piestany even Kosice) and Trencin is my favorite. Its small and quaint. Its main square is very nice. I has decent restaurants and cafes (the local brewery, Lanius, is particularly nice). The city's castel is certainly worth a visit (probably the best castle I've ever been to, though the Citadel in Sistrion comes pretty close) and the hill just above town offers plenty walking opportunities (if you like hills). The is even a fairly decent bike park up there (technical but not so technical you need to wear protection). Not much in the way of nightlife, but we don't go there for that anyway.

Trencin is a lovely place to visit for a relaxing holiday we throughly enjoyed our three days and would visit again. The Trencin castle, restaurants, river, bike riding and indoor and out door pool complexes.

Trencin is a beautiful town with a stunning castle perched above it. The centre is easy to walk around. All the restaurants we ate in were excellent and good value. There are outdoor and indoor swimming pools.

Beatiful city, very clean and green, full of trees with many parks. Amazed as how many people live in city but is very clean, very well look after, Plenty to see, many restaurants, cofees, pubs and castle is awesome. Great bus connections , running very often.

It was very clean, but we had to trade rooms.
It was very clean, but we had to trade rooms. Our original room had the bed in a loft with very narrow steps. Too dangerous for trips to the toilet at night.
The food in the restaurant was excellent!

Like that the hotel was in the absolute heart of trencin. You can just 50m for coffee and good restaurants like Speranza was about 5 mins walk from hotel.
Due to some issues, I had to ask staff for help and they were very friendly and supportive in making things better. Mainly the issues were the breakfast and one day AC not working. But, they fixed both issues in a good response time.

The apartment with parking in Trencin was definitely luxurious. It is located in a brand new building 1,6 km from the centre of Trencin. The housing estate in this location has very high standards on saving energy and provides the newest technological solutions to ensure comfort of residents. Everything in the apartment works smoothly, and the host was extremely helpful and friendly.

While I do recommend to prepare well, to put it diplomatically, I must say that:
+ the beds were fantastic.
+ bathroom is fantastic.
+ tap water tastes nice.
+ tv works but only few channels, no MTV or anything.
+ street is quiet at night and there is parking space in front that you can see your car, and Trencin doesn't feel unsafe or anything.

I really enjoyed the large bathroom which included a shower, a bath, a toilet, a bidet and two sinks. This was one of the largest bathrooms I ever had in any hotel room.
