I recently had the pleasure of staying at Los Almendros de San Lorenzo, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility and luxury.
The first thing that struck me was the impeccable attention to detail in the hotel's design. The elegant furnishings, tasteful decor, and tropical plants created an ambiance of refined sophistication. Every corner seemed thoughtfully curated to provide guests with a sense of comfort and relaxation.
Upon check-in, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff who made me feel like a valued guest from the start. Their professionalism and attentiveness set the tone for the rest of my stay. We even met the owners of the hotel Joaquin and Pascal and shared drinks and dinner, they were amazing, great conversations.
The room itself was a sanctuary of comfort. Spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean, it felt like a home away from home. The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep, and the luxurious amenities including a fountain inside the room added an extra touch of indulgence. I especially appreciated the attention to detail, from the high-quality toiletries to the thoughtful turndown service.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's dining options. The on-site restaurant offered a diverse menu of delectable dishes crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Each meal was a culinary delight, accompanied by impeccable service and a serene ambiance.
What truly sets Los Almendros de San Lorenzo Hotel apart, however, is its exceptional service.
In conclusion, my stay at Los Almendros de San Lorenzo Hotel was nothing short of spectacular. From the luxurious accommodations to the impeccable service, every aspect exceeded my expectations. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or a luxurious getaway, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience.

This property is wonderful. The courtyard overlooks the valley towards the lake, and no houses are visible to the sides. The owner and staff were amazing, kind, helpful and generous with their time.
From this location, it is walkable to many restaurants (from inexpensive pupusarias to nice sit-down dinners) and to the downtown area. Alternatively, it was quite easy to hail a tuktuk/taxi.
We were able to arrange transportation from the airport and back at a very reasonable fee .
We simply loved our stay here and would highly recommend anybody seeking lodging in Suchitoto.

One of the nicer stays we’ve had in all of Central America so far. Perfectly clean. Very comfortable bed, couch, AC worked amazing. Lots of windows. Newly painted room with Netflix and big tv when stuck in bed with food problems. Loved the outdoor space with kitchen. Amazing host and best breakfast we’ve had traveling. Treated us perfectly.

This was our second time at the property and it has been very well up-kept. Accommodations were perfect, clean, organized and the view is top notch. Highly recommend asking about the massage you can schedule with Esaú, as it is wonderful. The host Ana Maria made amazing recommendations to me and helped me set up a wonderful surprise for my partner who is now my fiancee after our stay at El Nido Flor de Pajaro.

This property seems to be your just average hostal. What I like about is that the Co-Ed dorm had curtains for privacy and the beds were comfortable compared to many beds I’ve stayed on over the years and through my travels. It’s quite loud since the door stays open and there’s a sitting area right outside and also an open area that extends all the way downstairs. I really can’t speak as to whether or not it’s conveniently located to the historic center because I arrived late and left early. Staff was nice. They have filtered water. I had no idea breakfast was included and it smelled delicious.
Amazing place to visit! Gorgeous town, loved the lake and boat tours to see hundreds of birds on the shimmering waters. Also enjoyed the town and Irma's Indigo scarf making workshop. A truly special place to visit!

We thought we would see more in the city center.
We thought we would see more in the city center. A friend told us to walk to the La Posada de Suchitlan restaurant. Glad we did. It had a pretty view of the lake and mountain. Other then that, not a lot to look at.

The local government is working to preserve the old town.
The local government is working to preserve the old town. The roads are stone and many homes built in the spanish colonial architectural style. There are ordinances that prohibit modifications to the home’s facade, so the owners restore to look like the original. The city is very clean, safe and the people are very friendly. The main plaza is lively with local vendors selling a variety of things all weekend. Will definitely return to Suchitoto.

This was a perfect first stop on our El Salvador tour (one week) after picking up our rental car at San Salvador airport. Peaceful, relaxed, CLEAN town with the typical main plaza fronted with a beautiful cathedral. Some vendors around the plaza as well as pupuserias and some cafes. Enjoyed just wandering the side streets, admiring the house fronts and flowers, looking at the indigo work in the shops and watching life go by. The lake is nice. If we had more time we definitely would do a boat trip or a kayak tour to watch the birdlife.

I stayed 3 nights in Suchitoto and enjoyed every minute of it. The town is very authentic Spanish Colonial, having been to Leon and Granada in Nicaragua, I prefer Suchitoto, its unspoiled, safe and welcoming. I did the boat excursion on Lake Suchitlan and went to the Cascadas Los Tercios.
Practice your Spanish as there is very little English spoken here.
Honestly I was a bit apprehensive coming here seeing that there weren't any reviews yet, but my stay here was excellent! The receptionist was really helpful and was always there when I needed help. The location is great - about a minute walk from the centre. The room also had cable TV which is definitely a plus and bargain, especially compared to the prices of accommodation in the local area. I also felt really safe being a solo female traveller. Definitely made my stay in Suchitoto!
Incredibly friendly, heplful and professional staff, always taking care of you. People working there upgrades the level of this hotel up! Beautiful garden with a lot of places for relaxing. Clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, quiet air-conditioning, strong Wi-Fi everywhere in the hotel premises, very good breakfast. Payments by credit card accepted. Good location near the center.
A little paradise in a beautiful town. The town center is only a short walk away. The hotel's garden is simply wonderful and the view of the lake is breathtaking. The room was clean and well equipped. The owner is very helpful and is organizing tours as well.
Decent and well-maintained hotel in the center of Suchitoto. As it is a hotel, it basically has only some rooms for rent. The only common place are the chairs and the breakfast area on top. Service from staff was excellent and the breakfast was sufficient.
