Beautiful villas, nice decor and comfy beds. Everything was very clean. The owner was also very friendly and helpful, he ordered us food and rented us scooters.

We absolutely loved this hotel! It is a beautiful facility. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend visiting the spa. We enjoyed our experience so much that we both went back for a second treatment! We also really enjoyed the live entertainment that we were able to observe one evening. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and our favourite stay during our trip to Thailand. And this was despite an overbooking and maintenance issue and being asked to give up our room with private pool access early, which the staff handled very well and compensated us generously for.

**Review: JW Marriott Khao Lak** Wow! Just wow! The JW Marriott Khao Lak is truly an exceptional hotel. Located an hour and a half from the airport, this hotel leaves a lasting impression from the moment you arrive. ### Arrival and First Impressions We were warmly welcomed with a delightful hibiscus drink and given a comprehensive tour of the hotel. They provided us with a schedule of activities, 90% of which were free for all guests. The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful, and I can't emphasize enough how amazing it was. ### Pools and Amenities The pools are enormous – there are around five or more, including the largest river pool in Asia that winds around the entire hotel. There are dedicated areas for kids, with two big pools featuring various games, while the rest are for adults. The amenities are top-notch, and the staff is exceptionally helpful, kind, and down to earth. ### Room Quality Our room was exceptional. We had two rooms with a living area and buggy service. The suite option is highly recommended over the smaller rooms, as it offers a significantly more pleasant experience. ### Dining The breakfast area is extensive, offering every option you could think of, including live cooking stations. We opted for the all-inclusive package, which included one lunch option per person and a three-course dinner per person. The portions were generous and perfect for our group of five. The hotel's restaurants are diverse and delicious, featuring Italian, Thai, Japanese, and international cuisine, as well as grills and pizza options near the pool. All the restaurants were top-notch, and we enjoyed every meal. ### Activities and Entertainment The hotel offers a vast array of activities from 8 am to 8 pm. The fire show on the beach at night was a highlight. We also participated in a bath bomb workshop at the spa, which was very enjoyable.

The resort is very well maintained and really nicely laid out. It’s very green with an own herb garden and an animal farm, fish ponds and many pools. The beach is clean and there were always enough sun beds for everyone. We really appreciated the kids club which is free of charge unless there are special activities like t-shirt dying, our 4yo daughter loved it and went every day. There’s also a kids pool with slides and shallow water. The breakfast buffet is really rich and offers enough variety for everyone to find something they like. We didn’t have any other food in the restaurants as we wanted to eat local dishes, but there are plenty of restaurants on the beach to choose from. The only time we ate at the resort was at the bistro by the kids pool and it wasn’t really good, plus you need to expect it’s quite costly. If you like Thai food, just eat elsewhere. Other then that we were really happy with everything (except for check-in) and would gladly come again of traveling with kids. Special shout out to Night - a waiter from Essence who took care of us during our private cooking school experience. He was an absolute delight and deserves a bonus!

Nam and Gai, are fantastic hosts, so kind and welcoming, you feel like home away from home. The breakfast is amazing, everyday a ton of fresh fruit, bread, eggs your way, pastry and coffee, tea or water. The location is great and if you need any help, Nam will help you. I booked a tour with them, got a huge discount which I really appreciate. Oh and laundry service is for free!
