Feel like this is THE best spot on the island. I’ve travelled the world and it’s getting harder to find those “Robinson Crusoe” types of escapes. Here’s one… Mali is on one end of Ko Kradan. Seems to enjoy a constant breeze which matters as that means less mosquitoes and more comfort and quiet. The rooms and grounds were the prettiest and very well appointed. You have everything you need: a mini fridge, water, coffee, towels (I kept getting more and more towels). The “patio” are of the bungalows are lovely. The beach is stunning. The water even more so. There are trees, flowers, everything is just quite gorgeous. And you won’t notice it… “magically” all the leaves from the trees are raked from the beach. Cut green grass stretches across the property. Grounds are Immaculate. The bar and restaurant are also lovely. Go barefoot. Relax. Mali has a sense of place and offers that feeling of escape. Owners are always in site and engaged. Personnel is extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast offers Thai and western options (try the Thai — it’s why you’re here). Restaurants serves tasty and solid Thai meals (the southern yellow curry soup will set you on fire 🔥) as well as western comfort food. The fruit shakes are yummy and the best is the mango sticky rice. From the moment you arrive you will be taken care of. It’s either there or they will help you. Leave your shoes, wallet, key, etc. In your room and unplug. Water is perfect temperature at all times and flat for swimming. Just relax, smile and if you need anything ask: ice cream, snorkels, kayaks, tours, drop off to the port, or to be left alone. Please note: Prices on this island are higher than other parts of Thailand as everything must be brought in. That said, you’re still going to pay soooo much less than anything you would in the west.

We loved everything! Genta and Jack are exceptional hosts. They organised everything for us, transfers, trips and lots of good recommendations. This island is stunning! Cristal clear water, good snorkelling and not busy like so many other islands. The room was comfortable, breakfast was good and meals at the restaurant were great. They have kayaks, snorkelling equipment and paddle boards that you can borrow as well as a great selection of board games. This was our first stay but we are already planning our next visit.

The bungalows were recently built, I was very happy to find such a great place. The bedroom was bright, the bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality and clean. The bathroom was also bright, with good water pressure in the shower and good towels. There’s even a porch if you like to sit outside. And a drying rack for clothes. Was very impressed with everything!

Island is completely pointless to visit unless the weather is good. With gray skies the price of the island is not worth going to. It's too expensive compared to other parts of the country. Sadly I stayed 4 days and didn't see the sun once

We visited Koh Kradan for the first time and spent there...

We visited Koh Kradan for the first time and spent there just 2 nights. Wonderful sea full of fish. Small island. You can rent a kayak. We were charged 500bth (2 adults, 1 kid) at the arrival at the pier as entry to the national park. That may make sense, maybe is better to know about it before. Just about only 7 resorts next each other. Wonderful beach with natural shades from trees. It was worth it to stay there 2 nights rather than to come just for a quick trip by longboat.

The the beaches are beautiful.

The the beaches are beautiful. There is no town, only the resorts (including their beach bars and restaurants), so besides enjoying the sea and relaxing, there is not much else to do (which is not necessarily bad if you are there for that).

What a fantastic tropical island.

What a fantastic tropical island. Great beaches- Sunset, Paradise Beach and don’t forget the hidden gem of Ao Niang Beach accessible at low tide or via the Paradise Lost Resort. Great Italian restaurant at Kalume. Cheap Thai snacks at the Visitor Centre and fantastic Muslim cuisine at Ao Niang.

Koh Kradan was given a title of the "best beach of 2023",...

Koh Kradan was given a title of the "best beach of 2023", and now there are loads of day-tour boats coming in, especially on weekends. This may ruin the atmosphere for people staying overnight. Also, a bad surprise was the amount of garbage on the island. Makes you very sad to see all this plastic scattered everywhere. Another thing to consider - extreme tides. When we were there, the water on the beaches disappeared in the afternoon. When the water was high, the beach was full of longtail boats and day-trippers. So, all in all, I don't recommend to visit this island on high season. Due to the increased number of tourists, it has lost a lot of its charm.

The Mali Kradan resort was an excellent breakaway from the city…yes…we had lots of mosquitoes and yes…sometimes the restaurant didn’t have everything they had on the menu but the beaches were amazing…the food in the restaurant was fresh and very good…even made fresh pizza in their pizza oven and the service was absolutely amazing…. Wifi was not that good but overall. 1 week was just right and definitely would recommend Mali Kradan

The staff was very friendly and professional. We got early check in and an upgraded bungalow. The bungalow was really spacious. The location is amazing. If you want to go to a calm place with a paradise beach, Koh Kradan is fantastic. The breakfast buffet has everything you need. It’s really hard to get a good bargain on koh kradan so we’re so happy with this place.

The best place in Koh Kradan! Very peaceful, with lots of trees and plants, the dinning area is very nice and welcoming. There a trail leading directly to the best snorkeling spot on the island. The room was clean, as were the restrooms and shower. We stayed ant another hotel on Koh Kradan also, but Paradise Lost is the best. Ple was very helpful and kind.

Best place to stay at Koh Kradan, lovely people with good English, free snorkel gear/ kayak provided and drinking water. Comfortabel beds, good shower. From the resort you can snorkel right in front (with low tide). They also have lovely pizza and wine for a romantic evening. Enjoy!
