Located in Ko Mook, a 4-minute walk from Hua Laem Prao Beach, Kohmook boonchu boutique hotel has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, free bikes and a bar. Very friendly and nice stuff - willing to help in every situation. Very good breakfasts with wide menu options. Standard room was really big with huge bathroom. Everything was clean. We got a free ride to Charlie Beach sunset and back from owner - as well as a free taxi to the pier, when we were leaving. If you're looking for a nice place on Koh Mook for reasonable price, 30 seconds away from the beach - Boonchu Boutique Hotel is a place, you should firstly także i to consideration.
Located in Ko Mook, an 8-minute walk from Hua Laem Prao Beach, Rinna Resort has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, free bikes and a bar. The staff really go out of your way to make sure your stay is perfect. They even had a new bicycle rush-delivered because the existing ones did not fit my taller body! Breakfast was always delicious and large in quantity. Make sure to get the fish congee soup! The views from the units are also amazing.
Featuring free bikes, bar and views of city, MOOK BOONCHU HOTEL is located in Ko Mook, a 2-minute walk from Hua Laem Prao Beach. Everything! The room is great, new, clean. Nice and delicious restaurant on site. The beaches are 10-35 Minutes away by foot, but you fan also take a tuktuk so it is more fast. Sunrise 5 Minutes by foot. Sunset beach around 30 Minutes by foot. I walked it every day, so you have a little bit moving. You are on the main road, not far from the peer, a lot of restaurants, some bars and small markets around you. The Owner family is really nice, ask them everything ;).
Located on the seafront of Koh Mook Island, Pawapi Beach Resort Koh Mook offers newly upgrade villas and bungalows in a traditional Thai style. Staff are very nice, Ko Mook and Pawapi are a slice of paradise! Breakfast was fantastic! Rooms where exactly as photographed and perfect. Manager Chris is a nice guy, very professional. Second time in Ko Mook and my second time in Pawapi over 5 years and the island is amazing. if you're debating which island to stay on (there are 2 more nearby) I highly recommend basing yourself in Ko Mook and doing the rest as day trips. Lots of options for dinner in the evening and the quality of the food in Ko Mook is very very high.
A 5-minute walk from Charlie Beach, one of the nicest beach in Ko Mook, Nature Hill offers a good spot of nature and relaxing atmosphere. It is surrounded by the lush hills. Free WiFi is available. We went in the low season, and it was the definition of "peaceful". You really are in the midst of nature, within a short distance to the beach, and steps away from the Hilltop Restaurant, which is amazing. We slept more during our three-night stay than I think we usually do in a week at home. We cannot wait to return!
Located in Ko Mook, a few steps from Hua Laem Prao Beach, Mook Ing Lay has accommodations with a shared lounge, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Lovely rooms, air-conditioning fab. Rooms cleaned everyday and towels and sheets changed every other day. Staff are amazing here. Would highly recommend. And Koh Mook is perfect.
Koh Mook Sivalai beach resort is situated on Koh Mook Island and has direct access to Hao-Laem Beach. It offers an outdoor pool with sea views, Thai-style villas and a restaurant. Awesome place, comfortable room (#215). Great view, right on the beach. Big place, lots of walking but a good way to burn off the buffet breakfast, which was delicious. Friendly staff, great beach and beach chairs. Nothing bad with this place.
Located in Ko Mook, an 8-minute walk from Hua Laem Prao Beach, Kohmook Nurse House provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a bar and a shared lounge. This place is a gem. The host family was more than very welcoming and helpful. They communicate clearly and quickly if something is happening, even if sometimes that takes Google Translate. All good. Their food is delicious and the coffee is great. We'll have to come back once the coffee plants, now in their first year, have grown. The vegetable garden in front of the balconies is lovely and the vegetables taste really good. The rooms are spacious, and nicely decorated. They helped us with the laundry for free. Breakfast is until 2 o'clock, which is great for island times. Do eat your fruit, otherwise the host's mother will be disappointed in you 😉. We were honoured to be asked to join the family reunion for some food and very grateful they showed us how to make the delicious sauce for the fish. Yum! If you stay here, make sure to say hi to Mong, at Mong Bar. Lovely, relaxed place with great food and friendly people.

The island is a place where locals live and work and know each other. It's real and there is a vibrant atmosphere. There is also poverty and a lack of organization to deal with garbage. There are 3 beaches, one of them, Charlie's beach the main one. The others only accessible with boat or strenuous but really super beautiful hike through jungle land. Charlie's beach is very nice and with bars, restaurants and everything one would need. Maybe too many boats with exhaust. In town there are good places to eat and drink. My favorite was the Perfect bar and Restaurant on one of the not so swimmable beaches but view, food, drinks and owner and co great. Sugar is the second best. There's also a bakery, but they are slow and not too friendly. The bike tuk tuks are great and very affordable with everywhere costing 50 Baht. You can also visit other islands around Ko Muk or travel to Phuket and Ko Lanta. People in general are very friendly and I felt not quite at home, but in good company.
Great location, only a 5 minute walk to Charlie Beach. The hotel is very basic. Yes, a bucket flush. The room was comfortable enough the breakfast was okay. The staff was kind. We had to switch rooms because our bathroom door was broken, as well as the shower head. They couldn’t find our reservation upon arrival and we had to ask for the rooms to be converted into twin beds. It was a very unorganized, but that’s Thailand. It really felt more like camping than at a resort. This is a descent place to stay if you are looking to “ball on a budget”. The beach nearby is beautiful with a great restaurant. Koh mook is a quiet and peaceful island with very little night life and more geared towards families and relaxing. I loved it.
Ko Mook is a great alternative to a true resort island like Koh Lanta or Koh Lipe. Very laid back, minimal tourism facilities, with inexpensive eating options and a couple of small white sand beaches.
Amazing, affordable food. Welcoming locals. Beautiful clean swimming beaches. Snorkeling. Cave adventures. Hiking. Miss Island is the go-to place for breakfast and freshly baked goods. Seaview restaurant had very cheap and tasty combo meals. Most (95%) of the locals are Muslim, so there are halal options galore beyond seafood. Because it's the default for many, just ask the very friendly staff.
FYI Charlie beach is not what it used to be. The Charlie Beach Resort is abandoned and in the process of being torn down. The beach is a bit of a mess behind the trees (abandoned buildings and some trash). Aside from a few locals selling drinks out of coolers and one bar on the far side of the beach it's very quiet. The beach itself is beautiful and calm for swimming. The sand area is kept very clean by the locals. There is plenty of shade in the trees, and a few beach chairs and umbrellas adjacent to those selling drinks on the beach. In November it is very quiet in Koh Muk, many resorts not opened or seemingly abandoned. Few restaurants, but still some good places to eat and drink. There is no ATM but at a supermarket in the village you can apparently use your credit card to get cash from the owner. Can walk the whole island in about 1/2 an hour or take one of the many motorbike taxis (50baht/person), or rent a motorbike for 250baht/day. Bicycles are also available to rent. Kayao is the bar open on the far side of Charlie beach and has a not great restaurant that has great views of the beach. The bar is good and has nice smoothies. Mayow restaurant has excellent food and friendly staff and is a very short walk from Charlie beach. Ting tong bar was the busiest place after dinner and had a great fire show if you happen to be there on the right night. Trip to the emerald cave and snorkeling in koh kradan was a nice day trip on a long boat. Beautiful quiet island, with just enough happening to keep you from getting bored or hungry. The locals say things get busier after November so perhaps it will be more lively then. If you are looking for a party this probably isn't your island, but if you are looking to relax in paradise it's a great choice.
I stayed 2 nights at the main beach around Sivalai Beach and moved to Farang beach 1 night (Charlie beach). That was the best thing that i decided. Farang beach was quiet, turquoise sea and perfect sunset. It’s amazing!
I loved everything about this place, the bungalow itself is so comfy and we spent so much time just on our deck enjoying the jungle. The owners are very nice and made us feel like friends. There are a bunch of other small restaurants nearby to walk to, and of course Charlie beach (best beach on island) is a quick walk away. Definitely book this place, you won’t regret it! (In fact we are now at a more “upscale” resort on a nearby island and talking about hanging out plans just to go back to Mountain View!
Clean, in a garden by the pier. On the right of the 3 bungalows, abt 5 min walking, there is a very beautiful beach with white sand. Bathroom was clean, room in big enough. We asked for change of towels and there was no issue. I think the bungalows are quite new. Booked the trip to Krabi with them and there were no problems. Good value for money!! Close to the main center and restaurants but then again, Ko Mook is small and you can walk or rent motorbike/bike for getting around.
The property has a unique feel with the shade of old cashew trees. The smell of the fruit permeates the area, the fruits are delicious and Yai will fry some of the nuts up for you on request. Yai is also a great host and will show you all of the best spots on the island, places to eat, hidden viewpoints and more... highly recommended. Please keep in mind that the setting is very rustic, even in a bamboo bungalow this is closer to camping than a luxury resort.
the hotel is not far away from charlie beach.about 5 minutes' walk.a beach where you can appreciate the beautiful sunset.the wooden cottage is hidden in lush trees .very secluded and quiet.every morning We will be waken up by dozens of birds chirping in chorus.very Fabulous experience.no air conditioner, but IT is not necessary,IT is very cool at night.beds are comfy and staff are nice and friendly.breakfast is marvellous.
Everything. The room was comfy and spacious. Beautiful outdoors and view. Great food (better than most places and good value, also. Best thing was the staff. Every member got out of their way to accommodate us in every aspect. They 're gonna help you with excursions, motorbike renting, tickets to another destination. Long story short, if you choose this island, choose this place also.
One of the cheaper bungalows on the island (although much more expensive than other places is Thailand). Great location, only 5 min walk to charlie beach. Spacious bungalow with a big bathroom and little porch to chill on (in the shade most of the time). Restaurant was oke, not the best but nice place to sit. Friendly staff that asked every if we wanted our room to be cleaned!
We absolutely loved it! Had a room with pool access and we enjoyed it a lot. The pool was very clean. The resort is located in beautiful nature. Protected of wind which is not the case for the resorts by the sea and it was windy during our stay. A free driving service brings you from A to B. Nice breakfast.
It is great that you can rent bicycles and kayaks directly at the hotel. Beach mats, beach towels, slippers and umbrellas were provided. The bungalow is very clean and modern. Breakfast and also dinner were very delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful, even if they do not speak English well.
The owners do everything they can to make sure you have a good day there. They just opened 2017 and are still improving and are listening to feedback. We really much enjoyed are stay at this lovely place! We saw some other hotels while our stay but we were very happy to chose that hotel.
It was like coming home. Everything was very clean and and you felt welcome all the time. There was beer and soft drinks in the fridge that you could buy. Free coffee at the "lobby". It didn't feel like a hotel or guesthouse...it felt like home.
Well designed, clean and comfortable bamboo bungalows. Beautiful location in the jungle and right next to the water. The most friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant and the best bar next door. We absolutely LOVED our stay at Coco lodge!
Nice normal hostel with clean and comfy beds, with nice included breakfast in the restaurant in front of it. Spacious cold shower but you can't ask for more.
Location. Resort is located at the best part of the island with sand, palms like in paradise.
My friend and I are two girls in their 20s and we like our rest but also to hang out with relaxed and great people rather than party every day. This hostel is perfect for it. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but extended our stay with 4 more nights (even though we had only 3 weeks for whole Thailand). The moment me and my friend arrived at this hostel immediately made us understand all the reviews on the internet. The vibe was peaceful, relaxed, and welcoming. The owners made this possible, as they made us feel at home. They are from Europe and they understand travellers and people in general. They are amazing people. Furthermore, the hostel was always clean and organized. Our laundry was done and folded quickly and nicely. The breakfast is very good (!) and we ate dinner at this hostel once and that was amazing too. Everything was good to us. Even the distance to the walking street was not an obstacle, because we rented a motorbike (just like anyone else in Pai); the roads were good to drive a motorbike on, it took us only 10min to go to the walking street, and on top of that this distance in combination with the peaceful home-ish vibe at this hostel made us feel as if we were living there in our own place for a week. We could take the bikes and have dinner in the city and ‘go back home’ afterwards or hang out and have more drinks. To conclude; the vibe at this hostel, created mainly by the owners, is what makes this hostel great.
Our bungalow were clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I can recommend this resort.
Own bungalow, free upgrade to see view but no swimming beach. Good pool. Clean. Staff very smiley.
Food, service and owner are outstanding! Amazing hospitality
