The Shadow House & Bar features barbecue facilities and a bar in Ko Phayam. This hotel offers free WiFi. Free private parking is available on site. Rooms come with a private bathroom. I think the owner is the best answer why this place is so wonderful. A visit to the island gives a real rest and made us very relaxed - that was what we were looking for and we found it there. Everyone on this island is smiling at you! The time we spent in that place was also made more pleasant by the delicious drinks and food prepared by Mr Por. We can still feel the taste of the jungle curry! We encourage you to visit the Shadow House!

With a peaceful beachfront location on Ko Phayam, Sabai Sabai offers private bungalows and free WiFi access. They offered breakfast, lunch and dinner for purchase. They also offered yoga lessons and scooters for rent. Everything was easily up for grabs. The payment could be handled when checking out. Last but not least the staff was lovely.
Aow Yai Beach, Ko Phayam
Located in Ko Phayam, a few steps from Ao Yai Beach, Bamboo Bungalows provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a bar and a garden. I had such a fantastic week staying here! The staff were so friendly, kind and welcoming. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of different seating options, and has a nice variety of delicious food, including Mediterranean dishes. There are some games to play, books to read (I especially enjoyed "Elanor Olifant is Completely Fine"), hammocks and sun beds to chill in, kayaks & surf boards to rent (and instructors available, too!), volleyball and other sand toys for kids to enjoy. It was so relaxing with the bungalows being under the shade of tall trees. The entire atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful, and the bungalows are nicely spaced from each other. I enjoyed my outdoor hammock, and the room was so comfortable. The fan was more than enough to keep me cool, and the outdoor shower was quite enjoyable too (for an extra fee, you can opt for hot water, but I didn't find it necessary).

Located right on the Beach in Khao Kwai Bay of Ko Phayam, Starlight Beach Resort features a restaurant and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site. Beautiful place to stay on Koh Phayam. Todd and his team have made an excellent place with great food and drinks. The sundeck is a great place to sit and have a coffee in the morning. We were in bungalow 5 which was a really good size and had a good fan and mosquito net. Food on site is excellent, you can hire bikes and the beach is amazing. We were only there for 5 nights, stay longer than that.
Aow Yai Beach, Ko Phayam
Located in Ko Phayam, a few steps from Ao Yai Beach, JJ Beach Resort & JJ Seafood has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a bar and a shared lounge. Located 492 feet from the sea, Flower Power Village is located in Ko Phayam. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. This place was such great value for money. I had the best time staying at Flower Power. The room was great, the bed comfortable and a hot shower! The owners were so friendly and accommodating and they make the most delicious food! The menu at the restaurant is massive and everything I had was amazing. There is even a whole page of vegan options. They also have a little shop downstairs which made life super easy. I literally do not have anything bad to say about this place. It was an absolute dream.

PP Land Beach Eco Resort is located on Ao Hin Khao Beach. It offers sea view bungalows with fan and free Wi-Fi. The property is equipped with a swimming pool, laundry service and free public parking. PP land is a lovely, peaceful and friendly resort. The rooms are nice and private and with everything you need. The staff are lovely and Paul is wonderful to chat with. Breakfast is great and the resort and setup Paul and Perl have created is a paradise. You also end up chatting to other visitors at breakfast or on the beach. Oh and the breakfast is great. Really worth getting that included for a slow morning. The sunset is amazing and worth waking a little early to watch. Resting in my hammock was one of the joys of Ko Phayam. You can rent a motorbike from PP land and the temple is not far away. If you wish to drop out of a hectic life and drop in to a relaxed and peaceful stay on Phayam I would highly recommend staying at PP land. See you soon ☺️
The weather, the scenery. The beaches were all stunning and the sunsets at JJ Beach resort were amazing!! Plenty of good restaurants on the island. Can personally recommend Flower Power and Cha Chai Hime for vegetarian food. All round good vibes on the island.
Phayam is a paradise of older Thailand. (No MacDonalds!!!!) The Thai and Burmese that live and work on the island are always friendly, helpful and HONEST. Getting around the island is easy and cheap, whether by foot, motorbike, bicycle or motorbike taxi. The food is delicious, with a variety of cuisines for those who want a change from Thai or Burmese food, many of the foodstuffs are sourced locally, including seafood caught from the sea surrounding Phayam, food and accomodation are very affordable, I have been coming to Phayam for ~ 8 years now and won’t stop.
Great place to relax. Lots of great eateries headed by Baan Nam Cha. Hippie Bar definitely worth a visit. Main track from pier to Ao Yai been under repair for at least a year now so pays to be aware of alternate track.
A very chill island. Do not expect luxury resorts and restaurants. This is thailand the way it used to be. No warm water, tranquil beaches, really nice local food and a few places for a really good massage.
It’s changing sadly but it’s still nice If you go, I would recommend phayam garden (also known as phayam sport) for good value bungalows close to the beach, and Baa Nam Chaa for great veggie vegan fusion food with lovely owners
Nice island with beautiful beaches. Did not find big differences between now and ten years ago. Can not understand why some peope talk bad about this place. It is not loud and crowded. And there are no Quads and (almost no) Scooters at the beach. Yes, there are some new bungalow ressorts (which are more expensive) and more tourists with scooters are cruising around, more speedboats are shutteling people between Ranong and the island. Overall we were positively suprised to see Koh Panyam in such a good shape.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Linda, Joseph and the lovely receptionist. They went out of their way to help us. The bungalows surrounding areas are very nicely kept and decorated. The bungalows themselves are simple but functional and the view is amazing. The food was really nice too ! The hammocks scattered around the premises and the chilling areas were great. I would highly recommend Sabai Sabai to anyone wishing to have a great experience on KOH Phayam!

The staff is very friendly and the place in the middle of paradise. The Bungalows are basic but clean and everything you expect and need on Koh Phayam. The food is excellent and the setting is just spectacular. The location is convenient as you are quite central on the island and have a similar distance to nearly everywhere. Would definitely stay again when back to this fabulous island!

My stay here was very enjoyable. A friendly and welcoming family with beautiful bungalows where you can shower while the hornbills fly overhead, the bungalows are spacious and clean the balcony is also a great size to enjoy the plants and wildlife. The food is delicious and everyone should try the cashew chicken. Can't wait to come back!
Ko Phayam
Friendly and helpful staff Great location to one of the beaches Easy to sort travel to the other main beach Some shops and restaurants close by Friendly cats on-site and lots of nature! Lots of butterflies, sometimes hornbills Free transfer to the pier when leaving the property
