United KingdomThis is a beautiful building, beautifully finished all in wood. I'm assuming teak. There are large seating areas with an open balcony on both floors, so you can escape the heat of the day and read. The bedroom was a good enough size. Huge and comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Good shower. Lovely touches like a welcoming rice and banana snack and a gift bag of lovely soap. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. There is a library, which has an amazing range of books about Thailand and Lanna culture. We found a good one on the Wat murals and a couple on textiles. The hotel is well placed in the middle of Nan. We had a car and parked in front of the hotel. Great place. I'd stay again.

Nan is very interesting and really off the beaten track.
Nan is very interesting and really off the beaten track. The night market was so fun, local families coming together and eating together near the temples with loads of choice of food.
The surrounds of Nan were lovely, I cycled nearly 70km and enjoyed it loads. It’s not build for tourists, which is great so it’s a really authentic piece of Thailand :)

Nan is an interesting town...
Nan is an interesting town... There are lots of temples and history from when it was a kingdom. I was visiting during the low season, but during my 10-day visit, I could see something every day. But you must realize that this is not a holiday site where you can enjoy daily fun and entertainment.

My first trip to Nan and in fact Thailand. Absolutely incredible experience. Obvious areas were food, scenery in particular the mountain scenes.
The people of Nan were welcoming and very hospitable indeed...and came across as very genuine.
The culture and temples were amazing...visited many temples in Nan and also in Chiang Rai..
Amazing country and Nan is an area I will return to visit again.

Pantip Hotel is a very clean and tidy residence. The rooms are priced reasonably. The staff were very helpful. Several times I needed advice about Nan, local culture, and how and where to find some of the things that I needed to make my stay in Nan productive. The staff were always willing to help me out via a communication equation of:
verbal + mime + Google Translate = successful communication. They also had free bicycles available for guests. Very handy.

This is a true boutique hotel with classy wooden furnishings. The room was very comfortable. The hotel is well hidden from the main road but within 100m of the nightly market. There were very few tourists when I visited in May 2024 (in fact, I was the only one in the town!). The market has a wide selection of food choices. Many signs were only written in Thai script so it was difficult to understand what was being sold. I see this as a positive advantage!

The hotel is cozy and the room was nice and clean. The breakfast was fine, but simple. The staff were very friendly and helpful with everything. We rented at scooter and it was really good. The lokation was good and really close to city center.
