It seemed like a great place to spend a few days. I only stopped for the night, but there are plenty of lovely green spaces to visit. I visited the Pai Canyon and found it interesting. local vegetarian food was wonderful.
Pai is a small town surrounded by mountains. 4 hours travelling from Chiangmai Recommended to travel to Pai by minivan. The routes are interesting as you go pass over seven hundred of curves on mountains Prepare medicine if you get sickness quite easy riding on mountain curves. Local people are kind and friendly. Escape from city and experience moments in Pai would offer you a lot of benefits. There's no traffic jam and shopping malls or busy crowds but green nature, fresh air, amazing views and more than that you get to slow down your life for moments just enjoy Pai with all senses to experience more. There are activities to fit different preferences for travelers from cafe, book shop, art&craft, workshop, nice comfortable resorts to staying in hut, farm stay, hiking on mountain , bar, waterfall. One great thing to do in Pai is to rent motorbike and ride in Pai city and go on hills. Motorbike for rent costs are affordable amd easy to rent. Safe to ride and travel around. I have been to Pai 4th times and I would still like to visit again.
Pai does not need another review at this moment. Everything useful and charming has been said. With so many businesses shut down, Pai struggles to survive the impact of Covid at the moment as its destiny is linked to the uncertain future of Thai tourism.
Nice place to meet other people; in town on the tours,... Also has vegan option on the nightmarket and other restaurants, Friendly people. Booked a couple of tours to see the hghlights. Loved the sunset on the canyon! I will come back to Pai !!
LOVE this little city just outside of Chiang Mai! The ride there is a bit nauseating (so many curves) but 1000% worth it! Every evening the night market turns the quiet street into a party and you can find a wide range of foods and little shops to duck into and browse. After 3 nights in Pai, I considered extending my stay and could easily find myself coming back for a month or longer in the future! Wonderful place.
Pai was one of our favourite places to stay. The atmosphere and vibe there was so chilled and it was really beautiful. There were lots of day trips to go on but you could also visit them on your own without a tour guide. It was extremely cheap there but the quality of food was up there with the best we’d had. The food markets at night time are well worth a visit they were very clean and the food was very tasty.
