A 5-minute walk from Pai Walking Street, Lilu Pai is housed in a wooden structure. Providing free Wi-Fi throughout the property, it features a library and a tour desk. We had a great stay at Lilu Pai! The property is well located with everything in walking distance but back from the bars which could be noisy. Parking for our bike was simple and under cover. The room was clean and the fan was enough most of the time. The lady at the desk cooked us eggs in the morning which we had with fresh fruit and filter coffee. This location, with en suite AC room and breakfast included at this price is a 10/10 for us. Thank you 🙏🏼

The town is a Mecca for self-styled hippie-emulating millennials. We're active older people, so we were in a minority. Not so many Americans, but lots of people from everywhere else. The Lod Cave, a moderate drive out of town, is amazing... even compared to the Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico. I love caves and this tour while rustic is very well done. The formations are beautiful and varied. The experience is a little raw (watch out for uneven steps, bat guano covered handrails, and low ceiling obstacles you have to crouch to get past. The required guide we had did a great job for us, and the bamboo raft rides through the totally dark interior - save for lanterns - was quite unique and fun. One tip: take your own headlamp AND shine a bright light into places the lanterns' light doesn't reach. You'll be thankful you did!
My wife and I were just staying one night while passing through. Have to say, very impressed with how the property was set up and the quality of the room ... complete with a private outdoor kitchen! Being a bit our of town makes it a nice quiet location. Next year we will definitely try and stay here longer.
We found Pai a very busy and crowded village, mostly with young travellers. We had researched Pai before going and even though we had an expectation of many foreigners, it was quite shocking just how many were there. Everyone was on a moped or small motorbike making driving a car quite tense. Having said that, if you’re a young person looking for an amazing and adventurous place then Pai is definitely going to meet your needs! A highlight was the night market - lots of great food and goods for sale at reasonable prices. The surrounding areas are gorgeous, prepare yourself for skinny, windy and busy roads.
Pai is back to its bustling best. A compact, qurky place that began its tourist life 30 years ago as a hippy centre, a branding image that was somewhat tarnished by regular drug busts by the local police. It morphed into a 'Winter' destination for affluent Thais who hit town in their 4x4s wearing Alpine Skiiing gear (not strictly necessary even in the cool season!) and then by Chinese tourists promted to visit by a 2012 Chinese movie called 'Lost in Thailand'. Today Pai has come full circle. The bulk of the tourists are Western backpackers - though many appeared much older than the traditional backpacker. The difference this time around is that Marijuana/Cannabis has been legalised in Thailand and every 3rd shop/bar along Walking Street and beyond sold joints, lumps of weed and smoking paraphanalia. The sweet, pungent smell of Marijuana pervades everywhere. If smoking dope bothers you, Pai may not be for you right now. There are other business on Walking Street however, including lots of interesting and tasty street food and relaxed bars, although some played agressive rap 'music' with offensive lyrics (although I guess the owners don't have enough English to understand quite how bad some of them are). All in all Pai is a fun place to be right now if you are broadminded enough.
I expected Pai to be a small jungle town to relax. I was a bit underwhelmed with what it really was: A small town only full of tourists, specifically the ones that think they are cool dropouts from society and party all day, or just want to work from paradise. I was disappointed to barely see any Thai people, only tourists. And so many weed shops like nowhere else. There's not so much to see - you can do the half day tour offered everywhere to see all main spots. Many restaurants to choose from which is great. Best spot is the Jazz House with live music every day. 3 days in Pai is enough.
Nice relaxed vibe in and around waking street Went trip to waterfalls, white Buddha, Chinese village, bamboo Bridge Went for morning kung fu training with Shoalin warriors was absolutely amazing definitely recomend this starting at 6am watching the sunrise over the mountains breathtaking
The room had so many windows that we felt in jungle, our view was amazing. Breakfast was so good. The owner Mink makes the most beatiful bread I have eaten in Thailand. Hot water was available. Perfect location, close enough to center of pai(3 min with bike), far enough to sleep away from night noise of pai. Mink was a joyful woman, she was so funny, sincere and a little bit crazy. We had a huge smile on our faces every time we talked to her. Really nice to meet her. Best place we stayed in Thailand. Strongly recommend.
Pai
What a place! We loved it, such a relaxed feel to it with the hammock on each balcony. The omelette for breakfast every morning was brilliant, the hosts were all super friendly and helpful (they even sorted our washing for us without us having to leave the accommodation) and the location is brilliant with the Bamboo Bridge making it a 10 minute leisurely walk over to Pai. We recommended the Smilehouse to friends who were also in Thailand at the time and they loved it too. I wish we’d stayed for longer!
This was by far our best stay in Thailand. Both owners were very friendly and had answers to all our questions. They were available whenever we needed them and were kind enough to give us some tips on things to do in Pai. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Every day new towels, water and soap. Housekeeping cleaned the room when asked. Breakfast was amazing. Thanos, the dog, was a nice surprise :)
Nice idea. The hotel is made in a Greek style and at times it seemed that you were really in Greece. In front of the windows there is an artificial river where you can go kayaking. In the morning, a boat goes along it and brings fruit to the room. Cleaned well, the rooms are clean, bed linen and towels are fresh.
The owner of the hotel is very kind. The room is very cozy and comfy. It is also right in town, walking distance to the Pai walking streets, food vendors and bars. The swimming pool is big and nice and the hotel also has a fitness facility. Very exceptional and a great overall experience.
Great hotel in a great location! We loved the view from the rooms, how close we were to the walking street while staying quiet enough at night to get a great sleep. Great breakfast too! The staff were very accommodating and helpful.
Pai

The location is perfect! it's 3 minute walk from the Main Street and the lobby and the cafe of the hotel is located on the river and has such a beautiful view to it. the stuff was very nice and helpful.
We loved everything about this boutique hotel, the staff, the room, the location and we had a private courtyard as well. We tried to stay an extra 3 days however, they were booked out.
Addy made us feel like at home :) The place was just beautiful and charming. Best place I've been in Thailand by far.
