Offering an outdoor pool and sun terrace, Avatar Railay is set in Railay Beach, Krabi. It is only 2953 feet from Phra Nang Cave. Avatar is a beautiful place to stay on Railay. The location is perfect, the breakfast was awesome and the staff are incredibly kind. We booked 3 nights and stayed for 5. I would highly recommend staying here.

Set amid a beautiful tropical landscape, just a short stroll away from Railay Bay in Krabi, Diamond Cave Resort & Spa offers stunning views and value-for-money accommodations. We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed in one of the bungalows by the swimming pool and it was perfect for us. Clean, cosy and great value for money. The free breakfast which was included was also very impressive - continental style breakfast with a vast range of options available.
It was so difficult choosing a Thai beach and we were delighted with the 8 days we spent at Railay. It is stunning and our hotel was right on the beach with 2 pools as well. The cliffs are awesome and you never tire of looking at them. There is delicious well priced food all along Walking Street plus massages, day trips, shops and transport. Arriving by boat makes it special and it was easy to get from Ao Nam Bao to Railay East pier although we did have to walk across with bags. Got hotel golf buggy on way out again. There are photogenic monkeys all over Railay but be careful with your food/drink! Diamond Cave is worth a look and we did the 7 Islands tour which was a great day out. We went in monsoon season so snorkelling was poor but swimming still good apart from some minor stings (jellyfish?). Only last about an hour, no worse than an insect bite. Several Thai Rasta venues most of which also do decent food and are very friendly if you just want a drink rather than something stronger!
I can always see the sunset here! The beach is a good place to run and just be away from everything for a while. However, because it's separated from the main island, things are more expensive here too and there's nothing much to do in the evenings.
It was good to see and compare to other Thai places but it's overpriced and very touristic. Lot's of Bob Marley pubs and all you hear is offers offers offers. But I recommend going to lagoon and view point - its amazing and the east beach for beautiful sunset.
The locals here are so kind and welcoming. The most I’ve felt yet in Thailand! Everyone made me feel wanted and happy to be here. The climbing was awesome, lots of different levels for beginners to experienced climbers. Lots to explore like lagoons and caves etc. Lush and green and colourful landscapes. Beautiful views everywhere you turn! I’m obsessed with this place.
Railay beach is totally amazing. The sunsets are glorious with the most amazing warm lapping water. I would recommend Pranang beach around the corner. Its a bit more iconic and has that stunning turquoise water with a limestone cliff in the middle which is just beautiful as well.
I feel that a review given during Covid isn't necessarily representative of the place visited. Railay Beach seemed relatively unspoilt, there were maybe half a dozen people around. I couldn't see anywhere open where I could buy a drink and relax out of the sun. I'm sure that neither of these would be applicable during normal times....
The room was nice and clean. The pool looked nice. It was in a great location, right on Railay East and 5 minutes to Railay West. Breakfast was okay. Make sure no one takes your towels! Check-out took longer cause they check to make sure you didn’t take anything. We had a mess up since someone took our towels the night before. We also put up the do not disturb sign and they still cleaned our room and didn’t give us any towels.
The location is very good, it spreads from the east coast where the pier is, to the west side where the cost you can actually swim in. It is a few minutes walk from the main (and only) street in the island. Everything is close, the facilities are overall kind of good in relation to the standard in Railay Beach. The pool is also very nice and very close to the shore.
we had an upgrade room - very clean, nice view, close to cave, refreshing pool... all great for good value. And almost no tourist during the March at Krabi/Railay beach as the Covid19 was spreading around the world :). Great holiday, with very few tourist around. First time the AC was not pointing on the bed, which was good (not catching cold over the night).
Superb location with incredibly breathtaking panoramic views at the top. The pool is an added bonus to hang out at during the day or night - especially on hotter days. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming during our stay. There is definitely a social vibe at the hostel. Fantastic value for your money on Railay Beach!
A good value for money resort that exceeded my expectations. Very helpful staff,.beautiful location and nice rooms. I prefer to stay on the East side of Railay beach as it was quieter but easy to get to everything.Good breakfast and I received 10% discount on all food. The restaurant food and service was excellent.
Best hotel you can find in Railay beach, it is a little far from the port it is really calm and you have a privat beach and free 'shuttle' boat to the pier. The staff is super nice and all in all experience was amazing. Oh and breakfast is great as well, we ate pancakes every morning!
Great location. I’d prefer staying on Railay east compared to west. The pools were beautiful! Breakfast and wifi were good. The sunrise off the pier (directly in front of the hotel) were beautiful. The staff around the grounds were friendly and helpful.
The great attention to details makes Ravayadee one of the best hotels in Thailand. Ideally located, personalized services and high end products. Special mention to the Spa and the restaurants. Will come back.
Beautiful hotel with exceptional service from staff. Everything was properly kept, the hotel itself was clean all around and it is situated beautifully on Railay West beach. Would happily stay here again!
The hotel and the view is good, but it's expensive with the view. The main problem is with the staff, they could not provide any service. They lack hospitality and warmth. They are not helpful at all.
Pool overlooks the ocean on the sunset side of the bay. lovely architecture and greenery. spacious and private room. quiet hotel. helpful and reliable staff.
great value, decent breakfast, good location (5 mins from Railay beach, 10 mins from Prha Nang beach), privacy, big size bathroom
