I can always see the sunset here! The beach is a good place to run and just be away from everything for a while. However, because it's separated from the main island, things are more expensive here too and there's nothing much to do in the evenings.
It was good to see and compare to other Thai places but it's overpriced and very touristic. Lot's of Bob Marley pubs and all you hear is offers offers offers. But I recommend going to lagoon and view point - its amazing and the east beach for beautiful sunset.
The locals here are so kind and welcoming. The most I’ve felt yet in Thailand! Everyone made me feel wanted and happy to be here. The climbing was awesome, lots of different levels for beginners to experienced climbers. Lots to explore like lagoons and caves etc. Lush and green and colourful landscapes. Beautiful views everywhere you turn! I’m obsessed with this place.
Railay beach is totally amazing. The sunsets are glorious with the most amazing warm lapping water. I would recommend Pranang beach around the corner. Its a bit more iconic and has that stunning turquoise water with a limestone cliff in the middle which is just beautiful as well.
I feel that a review given during Covid isn't necessarily representative of the place visited. Railay Beach seemed relatively unspoilt, there were maybe half a dozen people around. I couldn't see anywhere open where I could buy a drink and relax out of the sun. I'm sure that neither of these would be applicable during normal times....
If you want to avoid the crowds and don't want to travel to places as far as Koh Pipi, then Railay is like a hidden gem on the pennisula of Krabi. It is cut out by the cliffs which constitutes the wild beauty of Railay. I visited Koh Samui after my Krabi trip, I was regretted. I should have taken another trip to Krabi, esp. Railay.
The resort was set back from the main resorts so was nice and quiet but very east and quick to walk to either the East or West Beach. The Pool was lovely and the views where fantastic! Breakfast was lovely too, lots to choose from including made to order Omelettes, Eggs Benedict and other things. We also like the fact that all the food was covered which you dont always get. Railay is beautiful, the sunset over West Beach is spectacular! I would reckon anyone to go to Railay and I will definitely be returning.
Loved everything. Just book your stay here already. No regrets. The breakfast, mmmmmm! Gigantic bed. Towels for all occasions provided. At night, there is chill live music and the landscaping is loaded with trippy fiber optics, creating fantasy like vibe. Everything is super modern. Location is perfect, in center of east side, yet easy, fun short walk to west side. Cute monkeys and kittens everywhere. It’s a magical hotel in an even more magical peninsula where everyone enjoys each other company.
The resort grounds are gorgeous- iit feels tropical and jungle-like, yet well maintained. We enjoyed daily sightings of monkeys, flying squirrels and massive iguana-type lizards. The room was huge and comfortable. We had two adjoining top floor pool units and loved the balconies. We enjoyed the pool area and the hotel itself has a great location being right next to Railay’s main pedestrian drag. The beach is best at high tide.
The staff at blanco are so kind and accommodating. They arrange a lot of social events like a pub crawl, muy Thai fights, and boat trips!! Steve was the most lovely genuine guy and made us instantly feel at home when we arrived. This is perfect If you want to meet new people while traveling! Railay beach is also now one of my very favorite places!!! The food is also really nice tasty and drinks are fairly priced at the bar.
Great buffet breakfast included. Two nice swimming pools. Located next to the dock, easy to find on arrival to Railay Beach. Convenience store on the property. Large, clean room with a great view of the mountains and sunset. Big balcony. Excellent prices during the shoulder season.
Lovely big modern rooms within a beautiful garden setting; great pool and lounging area looking out onto West Railay beach; comprehensive breakfast; perfect central setting right on the beach and near bars & restaurants; good off season room rates
Railay is a crowded area and it hits you as soon as you get off the boat. Arriving at the hotel after walking through the hotels, shops, and restaurants was a breath of fresh air, literally. It’s up a hill and the view and breeze are lovely.
Could check in early . Friendly staff, cheap continental breakfast for 100 THB Beautiful looking individual bungalow with fabulous view of the limestone . Room was spacious and had all the basic amenities. Close to the East Railay pier.
Fantastic location, large rooms and friendly staff. It's placed on the best Railay beach (Railay West). There are some cats around the area that are super friendly, and the staff treats them really well, which is great :D
A very nicely run hotel on the east side of the island. Quiet, lots of amenities. Great staff. Particularly liked the pool villa.
nice view from the hill at breakfast. cheap, clean and simple hotel.
Good location, and good value for money. Room was spacious and clean, and the staff was very friendly. Cute little common area and restaurant. AND to top it all off they have the cutest pup always ready to greet you at the door. highly recommend!
The bangalo was very cool and beautiful, especially the view (and the view from the bath)
