Of the many provincial mid-range hotels I had in upcountry Thailand, Viang Tak offers the best value for money. It has oodles of amenities not always found in this price range, a staff throughout polite and eager to be helpful and an A1 location. Optionally it can be booked without breakfast. Free bicycles for guests. Only some of the many things that I personally enjoyed: very big clean tiled room with huge window and river view; electric outlet next to bed; no noisy fan in bathroom; water cooker; electricity stays on when you're out; hot shower and aircon worked well, shower doesn't flood the bathroom; key card and no big key tag; lots of shopping and morning market next door (but no disturbance); private (if slightly limited) parking obviously with 24 hours security.

The Terrace Homestay Resort is a 3-star property located in Tak. The hotel also provides free WiFi and free private parking. At the hotel, each room is fitted with a desk.

It was a great stay. Not only because of the perfect accomodation, the room, the bed, the silence, the cleaningness but even more because of the staff. So sweet and gentil. Perfect english and lots of good information about the city and the country. And in the morning a damned good cup of real expresso coffee. The visit a real thai city with his markets, a museum, the river and the parks made it all compete.

The style was very unique, the location is perfect for a transit hotel to Chiang Mai, the bed was really comfortable.

Very clean and modern resort with more works in the process of construction. The rooms, restaurant, gardens and pool area were very well presented.

Despite the low price they served a good breakfast. Simple, but good brought to start the new day. The mattress was very good and comfortable.

The room was 5*.really nice and big. Had nice slippers and dressing gowns. The grounds were like a landscaped jungle of bliss. The maintenance standards were really high and the whole property was in prestine condition. The solutions made and the details of the grounds are really cool. I base my reviews on price as well, we paid 25€ per night.... And to get to stay there for that price is a super good deal.

We booked a double room and ended up with a whole wooden house suitable for a family of four. Very spacious and great river location. Nice hard beds in the Thai style and a larger bathroom than you usually get in these places.
