Beautiful little boutique hotel with the best and warmest host on our entire Thailand trip. Mr. Too is very helpful and organizes everything. Scooter, ferry, the best cappuccino - you don't have to worry about anything. Even when my wife wasn't feeling well and we couldn't go out to eat, he ordered a delicious dinner for us and helped me pick it up. I would give 11 or 12 stars rating, unfortunately you can only give 10 here at Booking.com. Thank you again for 2 wonderful days in Trat. We'll come back sometime!

Breakfast was excellent every morning. There was a great variety of dishes, all of them tasty. The staff was extremely positive and attentive, especially the hotel manager, who is literally amazing! The hotel and the rooms themselves have recently been completely redone, and we think it is one of the most effective renovations we have ever seen. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms and furniture are all brand new and logically laid out. Wifi is good, water is hot in the shower, and the AC keeps the temperature wherever you want it. The location is fabulous, right across the street from a quiet, beautiful beach. Lots of great restaurants, including beach front, nearby. We can't wait to stay here again next year!

Hotel directly in the center of Trat in a spectacular position, central to everything (the walk along the river is 20 meters away, the museum is a 5 minute walk as well as the temples and the Pillar Shrine, the nature reserve is 10 minutes away). Located in an old tek house that looks like a museum, a slice of Thailand that no longer exists. As soon as I booked I received an extremely detailed message with instructions on how to arrive. The owner is extremely kind. I sincerely thank those who wrote the previous reviews recommending the white rooms: true indeed, they are the best! Try to stay in one of those :) There is absolutely everything you need: desk, kettle, fridge, bedside lamps, darkening curtains and mosquito nets, and everything is pleasant, clean and welcoming. Free fruit, snacks, tea and coffee. Rooftop terrace to watch the sunset from and where I saw the New Year's Eve fireworks. I think it is one of the best places to stay in all of Trat, so despite the extremely hard bed (see below) I give it 10 stars.

Gorgeous setting beside a beautiful lake. The room was immaculately clean, looked like all new furnishings. Great breakfast and the owner provided us with transfer to Laem Sok Pier herself. Would highly recommend.

There just isn't very much to do.

There just isn't very much to do. We needed a night stopover before going to the island and our hotel was nice. Had a tasty pad-thai from the one place that was open and a couple of beers from a very nice bar next to a May-Thai gym. The few streets around the river are lovely and you do get the sense that you're suddenly away from all the tourists and in real Thailand. It is also extremely hot so not particularly pleasant to walk around either. At 8pm everything was shut down, including the night market.

Make sure you stay in town.

Make sure you stay in town. There is no night life, but Trat has great food and a wonderful market. Getting around Trat is not easy, you will have to walk. There are moto taxis but not always where you need them.

Trat is a sleepy provincial town at the edge of the country...

Trat is a sleepy provincial town at the edge of the country bordering Cambodia. Bus is the primary way to get here from Bangkok so this disuades people who feel they must fly to enjoy their vacation on limited time. If going to one of the islands it is likely you will have to stay overnight to go to Cambodia or the islands. Good market, there are places to get good coffee. People are very friendly.

Laid back small town with plenty of interesting choices for...

Laid back small town with plenty of interesting choices for food. Very welcoming people, nice and smiling. There's perhaps not much to do in the evenings, but during daytime you can walk around discovering traditional Thai food and snacks at very affordable prices. On Saturday afternoon and evening there's a very popular and nice street market. The small lake or water reservoir features a great sunset view and a walkway all around the perimeter.

people who want to see Thailand without over tourism and look for friendly people and inclusion in the Thai daily life find here the perfect province town. Cultural harmony . For night live , party and bucket list people , they better skip Trat city.

Check your location. The road can be very difficult even for good, experienced drivers. Parts are very steep and narrow with sharp bends and you need to use first gear in places. No mention of this in the adverts and another time we would use local transport as they are used to the conditions and know the roads, especially dangerous when dark and always dark after 6pm so be aware! Very nice beaches and food and some areas have beach entertainment with a live fire show in the evenings. Plenty of activities, we enjoyed kayaking on the beach. There are viewpoints marked for excellent photos. Would like to stay longer next time.

This is an excellent option for Trat Airport with good transfer links. It’s in a rural location so food has to be pre ordered, it was delicious. The communication from the owner was outstanding with very prompt replies to any questions. The Lady owner was extremely helpful friendly and professional and made us very welcome. The accommodation is of a high standard for the price point and everything worked and was well maintained.

We have been visiting Thailand for more than 10 years and have never met a more friendly of helpful person than Tuu the owner of the hotel. He helped us so much with recommendations and with our onward journey. A nicer man it would be hard to find. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Trat.

A very clean and comfortable place to stay. The host is the best, very kind, polite and helpful! The guesthouse has a beautiful atmosphere, it's like living in a Museum which is very well maintained. The breakfast is amazing, the best lemon juice in town. The location is perfect.
