Great location, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, restaurant is great, food was very good and drinks too for a good price, the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in!! The area they have on the beach had plenty of day beds for all the guests to relax.

I will summarize my impression of the hotel in one word; Wow! Upon first meeting the wonderful staff, I felt welcome. The interior, the exterior, the location and the food are also top quality. And sitting in the restaurant and enjoying breakfast with a sea view was worth the stay alone.

Everything was beyond amazing.The location is very perfect. The bed, the room, bathroom. whole of the suite was so cleaning and comfortable.You can walk to access all services and explore the area The welcome is second to none. The owners of the hotel are extraordinarily kind and generous and eager to serve the guests and fulfill all desires. I booked for one night but i decied to stay one night more . i didnt expect this stay in my life. of cousre i will go back again every time when i visit Trat- Thailand.

my 2nd time to visit this hotel, the hotel name was "sea view" when we first visit, i love the view from this hotel, especially from the breakfast restaurant, i also love the breakfast because they have the coconut pancake.... this time we chose the renovated room type, room is very fresh and clean, cool design. enjoy the activity at this hotel, especially kayak to the small island. this time we saw some african chicken in the hotel which is fun, the villa is also very new and nice designed. this hotel have 2-3 public pools, but i only use the main pool near by the beach, i love this hotel have their own vegetable garden and nursery, of course the tramcar.... so much fun....

Amazing and very stylish hotel. It's located on the quiet street far from the road noise. The beach is very beautiful and shared with only one more hotel so there are not so many people, almost none in the end of September. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with European and Thai food. Room on the third floor is very big and with terrace instead of small balcony like on the second floor. There are several nice cafes on the beach also Thai massage. 7eleven is very close and bike rent as well. 15 min by bike from the white sand beach and 5 min from Kai Bae Beach with lots of restaurants and bars.

Excellent location with direct access to the beach. Your room is merely 100 meters away from the waterline, - it's simply amazing. Nice pool with two jacuzzi sections. Friendly and helpful hotel staff, very clean and comfortable room. I rented a scooter and had a glimpse of other beach areas on the island. Must say - Klong Prao is still my favourite.

Great resorts, snorkeling and a "chill" atmosphere.

Great resorts, snorkeling and a "chill" atmosphere. Take a look for a good taxidriver... -Then roads are narrow and some of the drivers are driving the loaded taxies like racing cars. (From the ferry to the resort, we passed one car that had just driven off the road and 4 dogs in the middle of the road which almost caused 3 scooters also driven off the road). We came to the island at the same time that some of the first countries (not our country) made Koh Chang "red zone", because of the Cambodian conflict. -It was quiet and peaceful, although we could hear the cannons along the border from time to time. We hope for peace soon, så that more guests can return to this beautiful island again.

What I've seen was fantastic.

What I've seen was fantastic. In so many ways, there are a lot of fun hideaways...that you can't mention them all. Feel free to get lost often. I know I did and loved it. After dark on a cycle...not as much. But day time...just go for it! Don't forget to stop by some of the road side restaurants for your favorite drink.

Beautiful island, very chill seclude, not too much touristic, but has everything you need. Cute cafes, a lot of amazing restaurants, quiet and pristine beaches. You can also take a boat to Koh Kham, it’s beautiful! Very easy, ticket only 350 baht.

There just isn't very much to do.

There just isn't very much to do. We needed a night stopover before going to the island and our hotel was nice. Had a tasty pad-thai from the one place that was open and a couple of beers from a very nice bar next to a May-Thai gym. The few streets around the river are lovely and you do get the sense that you're suddenly away from all the tourists and in real Thailand. It is also extremely hot so not particularly pleasant to walk around either. At 8pm everything was shut down, including the night market.

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.

Make sure you stay in town. There is no night life, but Trat has great food and a wonderful market. Getting around Trat is not easy, you will have to walk. There are moto taxis but not always where you need them.

Sylvan is vertical resort and beautiful.

Sylvan is vertical resort and beautiful. They do a great job helping you get around. Expensive but you get your moneys worth. Great staff, great views, Santhiya Tree was impressive but probably looked really nice 8 years ago. Over priced, hard to find. No sign to long entrance road. Restaurant named Apple Kitchen at entrance was great and very inexpensive. I’m 80 and my wife is 83. They gave us the top floor with no elevator. Steps are uneven in height so be careful. A real workout. Breaks my heart to see the wood rotting from neglect. Next resort is Lagoon Prince. Stayed here many times. Old resort, good value, closer to ferry. White Sand Beach is great at night. Food up the beach at Soul & Sand is excellent. Every resort on the beach has a good vibe. From high end to very economy.

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem.

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem. The tropical beaches have crystal clear water and there are some great snorkeling spots if you look hard enough. Make sure you get down to The Fisherman Hut and mention Whimsical Tricycle to the owner, Tom. He will know what you mean. Enjoy! But keep it secret. Keep it safe.
