Cute hotel with charming rooms and structures. It became famous as Leonardo DiCaprio appeared in the film The Beach. It was renovated in 2012 and the hotel is looking nice. They are welcoming and although do not have breakfast, serve nice tea, coffee and cookies. We only stayed one night, but we some lots of people dropping by to take a pic on this place. Awesome location by the old town. Many restaurants, iconic places to go to. Easy to go the pier as well.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was exceptionally kind, attentive, and courteous. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options that were always fresh and flavorful. My room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, offering a perfect retreat after a long day. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I truly felt like a valued guest throughout my stay. The manager was incredibly generous, offering us a lift to our next hotel, and Oliver, along with all the staff, made our experience unforgettable with their warm hospitality and engaging personalities. The resort itself is a peaceful heaven, with impeccable service and welcoming atmosphere that made our time truly special. Highly recommended!✨

We had a great time here. The room was huge, the bathroom was great, the kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was delicious. Yanui beach is a very short walk away and great for relaxing, swimming or snorkeling. It was definitely on the higher side of our budget, but we loved every second!

Idyllic Island of International Fame

Thailand’s largest island, Phuket has a mountainous landscape leading down to lush, green palms, warm, turquoise seas and soft, golden sands. Patong is its most developed resort and is well known for outrageous nightlife. There are lots of clubs, bars and restaurants in the main town and it also has a fantastic beach lined with hotels and resorts.

To the south is Karon, home to the 2nd largest beach and offshore coral reefs that are good for snorkelling. Quieter Kamala also has coral reefs and good surfing conditions, as do the curved beaches at Kata.

The island’s airport is in the north and there are lots of Phuket hotels near the airport in Mai Khao and Nai Yang, where sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. In Bangtao to the south there is a great range of Phuket hotels with private pools on Booking.com, while around the corner in exclusive Surin there are often typical Thai long boats bobbing up and down in the rolling waves.

On the other side of the island Chalong has an impressive Buddhist temple and is a popular spot for kitesurfing. Neighbouring Panwa has shallow water coral and the Phuket Aquarium to explore. The Phi Phi islands are off Phuket’s eastern shores and their idyllic scenery makes wonderful day trips.

Beautiful location just next to the beach, perfect for a morning walk or a en evening sunset. Plenty of bars, restaurants, watersports and massage places within walking distance. In the Laguna the Angsana offers complimentary paddle boards, water bikes, canoes, kayaks, yellow duck water bikes for children and even a small sailboat and of course life wests in all sizes. Wonderful way to spend some time sailing the lakes and canals, also on grey or rainy days. Complimentary boat- and shuttle bus service in the Laguna area - easy access to all the hotels, restaurants, shopping, groceries, pharmacy, doctor etc. So convenient and fun! Breakfast restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Laguna. Excellent food, with both egg station, bake your own pancakes, all coffees/hot chocolate on demand, vegetarian- and gluten free options, catering for both European and Asian preferences. Huge pool area with several pools, connected by a very Long “lazy river” - excellent for swimmers! One pool with an artificial beach/sand, water polo goals, one with inflateable slide, baby pool, swim up pool bar, a quiet pool for those who prefers tranquility and 2 bubble bath areas. Pool towels are provided and a great pool restaurant is located in the middle, which serves good quality food. Rooms are huge and kept well. We were upgraded to a direct pool access room which was amazing. We had to delay out arrival to the Angsana for personal reasons with one full day, and was granted a 6-hour free late check out at the end of our stay allowing u’s to enjoy another full day on the ressort and catching a later flight. Amazing service - thank you! The staff is very welcoming and helpful!

Among the many best about the hotel, the location of the hotel couldn't be any better. The pool access room that we stayed in for just one day was amazing if not for a little issue we faced due to which the management upgraded us to a family room. Their pool layout was so good that my son spent hours playing in the pool. Also, the rooms around the pool created the perfect vacation vibe. Amenities provided such as umbrellas, slippers, the coffee machine, and clothes drying hangers were simply top-notch and well thought through. The interconnecting room was perfect for our family of 4 with young kids. The best part was that dining options were plenty right within a few steps from the hotel. Also, you can access the beach which is right in front of the hotel where all sorts of water activities are available. We also found that an emergency medical clinic was 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel which we unfortunately had to use on our last day just before checking out. Lastly, a great amount of credit goes to their staff at all levels. The reception staff was so understanding and skillful in all situations. They helped nurse my son's injury and pacified him as well. To top off my stay, they have a play area where my 5-year-old spent so much time playing with other kids. Overall it was great staying here and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel setting and surroundings are beautiful and the design/layout is very relaxing. The villa's are very well equipped and an oasis of calm if you just want to relax in your room. Staff are incredibly attentive and helpful. Genuinely looking to improve your stay. We had an issue one morning caused by the hotel but the manager found us later on and apologised and sorted everything out, including some complimentary items - he completely defused the issue. The retention rates for staff is very high at the hotel and it's clear the staff enjoy working there. Food was really very good. Three varied restaurants with very good food. The Treehouse (Japanese) was excellent, but book in advance. The hotel may seem pricey at the outset but it's worth it. There is a reason why there are virtually no bad reviews.

This was an amazing place to spend our last days of our honeymoon. It is a peaceful, classy and relaxing site to enjoy the beauty of Phuket. We met Executive Chef Mark Webb and besides giving us some amazing dishes, he gave us a wonderful service. The rooms were really private (as we wanted) and the views were beautiful (we asked for a Villa with a good view and they gave us one in front of the beach). This is really a world-class place to stay with great service, food and services (we went to the gym twice and had Thai Chi and Stick Excercise classes with a great coach)

The hotel is absolutely stunning and nestled in the mountain cliff area away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket, which worked for us. The staff were so attentive and very friendly. The room is also beautifully decorated and very spacious. The bathroom and dressing area is very large! The food was fantastic, the Thai restaurant is a must, and we did the cooking class, which is an amazing experience. They also gave us a goody bag, which was such a lovely touch. Overall 10/10 experience.

Everything. The best hotel/resort I have ever stayed in. Service, the room, the pools, the views, the food - everything was amazing. As a Muslim couple, the halal food was a real bonus.

Ideally located away from the hustle & bustle set on a hill so has beautiful views only 300/400 baht in a taxi to Patong Beach and Bangla Road which is a great laugh

The sea is clean and warm, and the beach itself is surprisingly tidy despite the large crowds. You can rent two sunbeds and an umbrella for 200 baht for the whole day. There is a great selection of cold drinks and food available. The local staff are very friendly and welcoming. This place has it all!"

The Old Town is advertised as a product of Portuguese and...

The Old Town is advertised as a product of Portuguese and Chinese historical influences. There is not a lot of evidence of these in the main tourist spots although they are not altogether. But there are some great night markets, streets full of shops , good coffee shops and excellent additional attractions such as the elephant sanctuaries and island excursions (including the amazing James Bond Island !)

Really liked Kata and the watersports guys are very nice and professional, lots and lots of food options and just a great beach and beautiful for sunset. My kids just loved it and we will be back again

Unfortunately it’s not somewhere we would return too, it was far too busy and noisy for us, family of 4, but this maybe due to the hotel location it left us feeling like we could not get away from the loudness. We did only stay for 5 night but I think 3 would have been more than enough.

Really loved Naiyang beach, could literally walk for miles of beautiful beach coastline. 10 mins from airport, but planes not intrusive at all. Great to walk the 45 mins along coast to the airport and have the planes come in overhead, almost close enough to touch! Loads of beach restaurants serving great Thai food. Some nicer than others. Highly recommend the Good View Restaurant as consistently good food.

Very nice beach.

Very nice beach. Have sunbeds options and towel area; good vibes, good restaurant and smoothies options; the water is good for children. Some entertaining on the beach options. Fantasea and Carnival - 1 km walk. Good nightmarket in the area.

This is the nicest beach in Phuket.

This is the nicest beach in Phuket. Lovely soft sand, very very clean. Great bars and restaurants - at all prices. Water activities like parasailing and jet ski available and not too pricey. You can find both busy and lovely empty spaces on this beach. Perfect for cocktails at sunset as it's west facing too.

It's picturesque for sure, nice for sunsets or for having breakfast or lunch with a view. But if you plan to swim there - just forget about it :) It's very shallow, full of boats, and there's no beach area actually.

Recommendation for restaurants = "My Front Yard" is a new location with several different types of restaurants. Ate at three of them and the food and service was excellent. Recommend "Home Sweet Home" as the close by go to coffee shop.

staff were great, pool was lovely, rooms were large basic and clean, shower area was good and bed comfortable, transport is needed to get to the best Thai food restaurant in the area 400m past the lotus supermarket on left called "The Old Maikow restaurant" which hotel can arrange for you. please read what i didn't like for details on distance and transport. Disliked · for travellers over a certain age who are not as spritely as they once were 20 years ago the distance to beach was a 350m walk with no cheap restaurants, to the nearest 7-11 and cheaper restaurants and street food was 400m, the nearest lotus supermarket another 7-11 was a further 400m, so if your like us(old) the hotel would call a local "samlor" (tuk tuk) who would transport you anywhere, or you could use the free hotel bicycle if your Lance Armstrong lol, remember the heat factor too. we were told that there were plans for a breakfast area for the future, and although there was a fridge in reception for the purchase of cold drinks they did not have any snacks or pot noodle style food available, which would have been handy. would we stay here again ? we would, as much as we needed transport to reach the shops etc as my wife is Thai it was easier for us to call transport direct than rely on the hotel every time. the large room could do with a bigger tv as it was only furnished with a tiny one.
