What a perfect little hotel! Everyone was absolutely lovely and really going the extra mile to make my stay unforgettable. A special thank you to Ping Pong at the reception! The bungalow rooms are even nicer than on the pictures, they have a special scented oil in the bathroom which means the rooms always smell gorgeous. Beds are very comfortable. I stayed for a week as I was training nearby, the beach is 3min walk from the hotel, there’s a 7-11 around the corner too. It’s quiet, peaceful and makes for a perfect relaxing stay for those looking for a little slice of paradise away from the tourists crowds. I will be back next year with my husband for sure!

In short: you won't regret booking here. An absolutely phenomenal resort that will impress. We booked here without any prior experience with fishing. It looked great from what we could see in the pictures. When we arrived, I was amazed. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. The lake is a fantastic location with flat, luxurious, and spacious apartments. The staff greets you with a welcome drink and makes you feel very welcome. The manager is always up for a chat and regularly checks that everything is in order. There's also a large swimming pool for cooling off. We took the plunge and booked a half-day guided fishing trip. What an experience! You decide how much you want to do yourself and how much you want to be guided. So for us, with no fishing experience, it was very pleasant. Before you know it, after an intense battle with a catfish, you're proudly posing for a photo with your random choice. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of dishes, from traditional Thai dishes to delicious burgers and pizzas. (Handy for the kids). There's also a very wide selection of breakfast and lunch options. A great choice for a stay on Koh Samui!

Palm Trees and Pristine Seas

One of Thailand’s most famous islands, Koh Samui (or Ko Samui) is a tropical paradise whose palm trees emerge from the pristine white sands at unbelievable angles, and whose offshore reefs make for great diving.

The most developed resort is Chaweng, though most bars and clubs are set back from the beautiful beach, so the views are still wonderful. Slightly less lively is Lamai, though its beach is no less impressive. Both of these resorts are home to a large number of Koh Samui hotels with private pools, a popular requirement of many visitors, despite the wonderfully warm waters.

Lipa Noi in the west faces Thailand’s east coast and has some beautiful sunsets, while the northern fishing village of Bo Phut is gaining in popularity. Nearby Mae Nam and Cheong Mon both have sweeping beaches that gently shelve into the sea, making them popular family choices.

Travellers don't go tot Koh Samui for its sights – but interesting attractions include the Big Buddha at Bangrak’s Wat Phra Yai temple, and the Wat Khunaram Ko Samui temple inland from Hua Thanon.

I thought really hard and couldn't find a single thing I could fault. The almost rainforest like property is beautiful and each villa is a delight to the eyes. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool in the villa and the space itself. My 5 year old couldn't get enough. While the beach isn't much to talk about it's still private enough and the waters were calm enough to take a good dip in the ocean. The two things that made this stay go from great to exceptional for us were - 1. The extremely hospitable staff and I mean each of them. They all knew my son's name from the say we arrived - from the buggy drivers to the servers at the restaurants to just about everyone. 2. Their kids club is small but has the most fantastic caretakers. I want to especially call out Sunny and Nguyen at the kids club who were so good with our son that he was perfectly fine playing there without us (a first). It's not cheap for sure but it was more than worth it for us.

Our stay at Silavadee was very special for us. Maybe the most authentic thai experience for us. It was the only hotel (out of 5 we booked for this holiday) that surprised us very pleasantly with a room upgrade. The view was simply stunning...we could spend hours by our pool enjoying that stunning scenery. The rooms were big and well designed. The staff's attention to every detail was simply amazing. Every detail carefully considered. Everyone very kind and caring...although they didn't have a kids club, we didn't mind. It was time well spent with our daughter by the pool. The food was also quite delicious.

It's the second time I've stayed here, it's amazing. View is amazing, room is amazing. The level of service is like a 5 star hotel. We had some snacks and our microwave was broken and within 15 minutes they brought in a new one to replace ours. And they even offered to go microwave our food for us in their kitchen while we waited, really amazing staff.

Chewang is easy to get around by foot.

Chewang is easy to get around by foot. The shopping strip is long but the pavements are very poor and are tripping hazards. There are many different restaurants to eat and drink. There is a lot of choice.

Lamai is a quieter part of the island, some nice restaurants. Loved the Italian restaurant called Secret Oven, food is amazing. Beaches are nice sand down this end. The hop on/off vans are easy and cheap, we hired a motor bike and the traffic is fine to navigate.

We really enjoyed this area of Koh Samui.

We really enjoyed this area of Koh Samui. Our resort (Hansar Resort & Spa) was perfectly located and very comfortable. Fisherman's Village was in easy walking distance from our resort and gave us easy access to plenty of restaurants, bars, convenience stores, pharmacies, massage, etc. Unfortunately, we were down for the count most of our trip with stomach issues so we did not venture outside the Bophut area. Even with the illness, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and plan to return soon and explore the rest of the island.

Mae Mam beach is lovely.

Mae Mam beach is lovely. Two very nice chillout bars with beanbags and deck chairs. Couple of restaurants you can walk to along the beach. Our favourite was The moon but. The food was really good, music on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday it would be great if there was a crowd of you.

Lovely beach, cost & vibrant.

Lovely beach, cost & vibrant. Nice white sand and lovely sea to swim in. A nice combination also with 4/5 star resort hotels and 2 star hotels. So for everyone something. Great beach for the kids too :-)

There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are...

There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are AMAZING!! We did not want to leave our hotel. Some of the other rooms looked nice too but faced the garden walkway. One bungalow faced a concrete wall. You get what you pay for. Loved this place so much.

Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui.

Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

A nice place with a relatively clean and spacious beach.

A nice place with a relatively clean and spacious beach. You can do a lot of sea and beach sport activities, including watching the sunset and enjoying the night on the beach. There are a lot of restaurants with local and Europian cousine - low, average and higher prices, 7/11 shops, rent-a-car, laundry and other services. Grab is available on slightly higher cost. Renting a motorbike or car is the most preferable option for exploring the surrounding area and Koh Samui in general.

We were very pleased with our stay at this house.

We were very pleased with our stay at this house. From the very first day, we were pleasantly surprised by how spotlessly clean it was – the house was perfectly prepared for our arrival. It was also very unexpected and pleasant that the hosts had thought of small details in advance, like toothbrushes. The house was stocked with towels, shower gel, shampoo, cotton pads, and cotton swabs – it felt like we were staying with good friends, not just a rented house. The house is fully equipped with everything necessary for comfortable living: two separate rooms, two air conditioners, stable Wi-Fi, a TV, a refrigerator, and a stove. The house itself is very beautiful, well-maintained – just move in and start living, no need to buy anything extra. Drinking water was also provided, including a water cooler, which was very convenient. The house is perfect for both a couple and a couple with children. The location is convenient: the sea and all the necessary shops are nearby. Parking is available near the house. The hosts were always available, responded quickly, and helped with any questions. We would be happy to come back here again and we confidently recommend this house to others.

Great location in a quiet area of the island. Massage , supermarket and restaurant facilities nearby. Relaxing vacation surrounded by nature. Friendly staff at the hotel and nearby commerce. Waterfall near by.
