I liked everything. With booking the eco bungalow I was aware it was very basic but still, it had all I needed: a comfy bed with mosquito net, a private bathroom, good internet, a small porch and private scooter parking. Every two days my bungalow would be cleaned, including the bedding and bottles of drinking water we’re provided. The room has a fan and a kettle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also very clean and inviting and had a big variety of dishes with even vegan options.

Our hosts were very accomodating, helpful and kind. The rooms impeccably clean and received daily cleaning service and top ups of ameneties. Complete and hassle free service from laundry , scooter rental and booking of onward transportation. Room 7 has very good seaview. We can admire the sunset and sand bar at low tide from our balcony. Walks on the sandbar at sunset was fun. A lot less crowded and quiet area to enjoy the sunset before heading out for dinner. A lot of great restaurants to choose from nearby. 10 minute walk to the Walking Night market. Very close to the hustle and bustle yet very quiet at night. Renting a scooter afforded us to explore the southern and more remote beaches to escape the crowd.

We had a delightful time at Koh Jum Resort. It is a very authentic place on a hill side located in a pristine bay. The staff, even for Thai standards, is beyond hospitable and accommodating. Upon early arrival they allowed us to join breakfast (although it usually isn't included on the arrival day itself) and made the stay with our toddler more than what we could wish for. A special mention for the resident manager Aom, she made sure we were happy and comfortable. She helped us out with our questions and requests, always very kind and customer oriented. Our accommodation was fantastic, the deluxe villa with a bubble bath, overlooking the sea, full privacy, was a true pampering experience on our trip through Thailand. We would 100% recommend it! Traveling as a family with a child of 4 years of age, all we needed was on premise. Building sand castles at the beach, all toys available to just pick up and play. Plenty of sun beds available. The pool. We also enjoyed the little library they have, with books to read during your stay. Delicious food, tasty cocktails. Rich breakfast, including eggs, pancakes, tuna salad, rice with chicken and vegetables, various sauces, sausages, bread with ham, butter, jams, various cereals with milk, various juices, coffee, tea. Seafood BBQ for dinner on the beach. Beautiful sunsets.

It offers plenty of restaurants, shops, massage places, and easy access to boat trips to nearby islands like Railay and the Hong Islands. The main beach is perfect for walks and sunsets, while more stunning beaches are just a short boat ride away. A toll was charged towards the nature park conservation. 20bht per person taken on the pier from travellers arriving. I am positive the total gathered each day is sufficient. It alines with the amount of plastic, glass and other waste which is gathering on the island. If the plastic waste is not dealt with quickly one could question where all the monies collected is going? National parks need to get more than a grip on waste management....educate and deal with this urgent matter. I would not visit a garage dump. Monies need to be spent on insuring the water, beaches, flora, fauna and the Thai residents like tourism can enjoy this unique gift that is Phi Phi Don. Good luck.

Ko Lanta is a affordable and the beaches down south are pretty, I liked the authentic hippy traveller vibe there. Its a place people like to stay for a long time. Personally I didn't like the areas around the ferry port as you get a lot of Krabbi tourists there and it felt a bit more tacky, but the South is lovely. I did a yoga class at Yoga Balance not far from our hotel and the Swedish lady there is lovely and can give you a lot of tips.

Railay Beach is a gorgeous place to visit on your trip to Thailand, its much more relaxed than most resort areas. Tends to attract quite a few backpackers as there is a good selection of reasonable accommodation. Many people from all over the world and easy to access islands for boat trips daily. You can only get there by boat so has a really nice laid back vibe and the main event is usually the sunsets every evening. The beach is good to watch the stars from after dark. Quite magical.

Klong Muang is a quiet little town, nothing like Ao Nang.

Klong Muang is a quiet little town, nothing like Ao Nang. But there are enough restaurants and places to grab a drink, and the beach is outstanding. Restaurants we would recommend are The Best and Mother House. There is a lady who sells bottles of beer near the gazebo leading to the beach - great to grab a beer and watch the sunset. And the beers are well priced!

I’m completely biased.

I’m completely biased. I loved everything and everyone involved in the place. No favourite thing. Many favourite things. Jungle, sea, boats cars tuk tuk and all. Most importantly I had the best guided tours on offer. Thank you. One and all. Appreciated and greatful ❤️

Although the staff and location are great.

Although the staff and location are great. They double charged for our room as we reserve through Booking with our Credit Card but then we paid cash( yes I kept the receipt) then later after I reviewed my statement they had charged my CC. I reached out to them 1st per bookings police’s but they didn’t respond. I spent hours on the phone with booking uploading documentation, etc and still nothing is resolved. I am also frustrated with Booking!

Because of tides much of the beach disappeared during the day so you need to be at the right location at the beach to be able to lie on it. Be aware that the bottom can be a bit rough in some parts. Very nice beach otherwise and there is a relaxing wibe overall on the island. We had very good food and there is a fair amount of places to chose from

It can be very busy with the long tail boats & people...

It can be very busy with the long tail boats & people queuing but if you walk further along to the left there are sun beds you can rent for the day. Bars & cafes are very good. Lots of massage areas & clean toilets you can pay 20 baht to use
