Hotel in Mahdia
Iberostar Selection Royal El Mansour is located in Mahdia near the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a Thalassotherapy center and 5-star rooms and suites. - I liked the view from the room's balcony. - I liked the room very much. - I liked the AC in the room, powerful and possible to control the AC's fan speed. - I like the water-pipe in the cafe near to the reception. The waiter in there is very professional and knows his job very well along with a big smile always. - The hotel's staff as soon as they notice the bracelet around my wrist, given by the hotel, they start to act all nice :). - The food was a lot and diverse every day. loved the Thursday Tunisian Theme ! - The Wednesday night event (saxophone and singer ) they were exceptional. - The past chef and the Bambalouni (chichi) chef are awesome and very skilled! - I lost my wallet in the hotel, it contained all my IDs, driving licence, credit cards and some cash, it was found and the reception called me as soon as i reached my room to come and pick it up. It contained everything and nothing was missing ! big Thanks !

City very small , dirty unbelievable , smelling so bad on streets that impossible to pass by car even . No place for tourist to walk around . People has no choice just to sit inside hotel No clubs no disco no normal coffe-shops, no food testy and clean cooked . No even streets for walk , just ruined city . One place Cornish for a walk smelling like canalization
The beach at our hotel was very clean & well kept. There was not a lot to do near our hotel but we enjoyed a pleasant walk by the sea to reach the town centre. The big negative is the amount of roadworks everywhere making it very difficult to get around the town. Not a good start when we got off the train.
We liked the old medina, we buit some artisanal gifts for our families. We were walking around the maritime's cimetary on Africa Cap. It was very beautifull. The beach is a few km long and very nice but we can't swimm because it was in winter. We ate fishes in a small restaurant behind the fish marked, il was good and very cheap.
Beautiful, historical town full of interesting things and friendly people. Unique medina by the sea, huge weekly market that sells virtually everything, and wonderful cafe-restaurant 'Sidi Salem' overlooking the sea that offers delicious, reasonably-priced fish meals and friendly staff. Watching the fishermen in their colorful boats as you sip a cappuccino on the terrace is heavenly! My dog loved the sandy beaches and going for a swim in the Med!
The old part offers a great atmosphere in the evening. Places to see are the old gate, the Grand Mosque and the fort. There are also plenty of walkways along the coast. It's worth staying 3 days, enjoying the sea and visiting some of the local sites and cafes.
