Happy Hotel Kalkan, hotel in Kalkan

Offering modern rooms with free Wi-Fi and satellite TV, Happy Hotel Kalkan is a short walk away from Kalamar Beach. It features a large terrace pool with views of Kalamar Bay.

Good location with a great view out to sea, a few grocery stores nearby and an easy 25 minute stroll to the harbour. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the meal we had the first night of our arrival was really good. There seemed to be enough pool loungers for everyone, however not sure if it would be the same when it's peak season. It gets quite windy by the pool which meant the umbrellas usually had to come down so you'd have to move and hope you get lucky to find a lounge in the shade if needed. They do have a sister hotel with a beach club which is free to use if you're staying at Happy Hotel and that was great. I'm not sure if there's a free shuttle in peak periods, however we just got a taxi which was about 5 mins/£5

Courtyard, hotel in Kalkan

Located in Kalkan, Courtyard has a beautifully restored building combining Turkish and Greek architecture.

Delightful renovation of two rather old houses around a courtyard creating a delightful garden space. Hotel features an upper level dining space, (which is where the incredible breakfasts are served), which has remarkable views of the Mediterranean. During the afternoon and evening this terrace functions as a low key bar. Hosts are very cool and approachable. Simply had a great time here.

It was our first time visiting Kalkan and we'd definitely go back! It was a family holiday with 10 adults ranging from early 20s to 70s - we got a big villa 'Eco Villa Super Star' which was really lovely. The town is really nice, with the old town part and the harbour. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and the majority of our meals were great, particularly at Luna. We did a couple of excursions and would highly recommend doing a boat trip with Whisper - we did a full day on the boat, stopping at various bays, they were really friendly and cooked us an amazing lunch! We also visited Saklikent national park which was beautiful and a great experience! We can't wait to come back to Kalkan one day!

Kalkan is a very pretty town.

Kalkan is a very pretty town. The locals are friendly and it felt very safe and our teenagers had a lot of fun and stayed out late. The restaurant staff are efficient and if you love a good quality fake designer item this town sell it all. The food is also of a high standard. The taxi drivers are friendly and its easy to get around. There are a good number of stray dogs, and on the whole leave you alone but my daughter was walking by one and it jumped up and grabbed her leg. Luckily it didn't break the skin, but there was no apparent reason for the attack. It made us give them a wider berth.

    Kalkan is an upmarket destination.

Kalkan is an upmarket destination. Attractive hillside location and pretty harbour. Huge selection of lovely restaurants, many of them with rooftop terraces to enjoy the great views. Lots of jewellery and designer shops. Prices about 10% higher than resorts an hour further round the coast, eg, Oludeniz.

Good flat comfy shoes needed .good places to eat, teratca, mousarka, aubergine, only had four days which were mostly taken up with two days of wedding but good boat tours and has bus station which takes you to other places along the coast lots to explore

I’m giving this the highest rating possible. Now, clearly it’s not a 5 star hotel with a swimming pool and world class service. But then, it was only £80 a night for a family room in August, booked at the last minute. Very clean, recently decorated, high standard bathroom (if a little small), v helpful staff, decent breakfast, and simply the perfect location if you want to be right in the centre of old Kalkan. Our room was perfect for us and our child (big comfortable double plus a decent single).

Fantastic hotel! We stayed in an apartment which was well appointed. It’s not in the main hotel block, which suited us. The staff are really kind and helpful. The breakfast is amazing! So much choice and really delicious. The pool is a great size with lots of seating. We enjoyed using the pool bar and had a delicious lunch there. The hotel is a little out from the centre of Kalkan. We took taxis to the centre which took no time at all and cost about £3.

A wonderful stay. Everything was perfect, from the lovely host Salma, to the room which was large and very clean, the beautiful rooftop balcony with a great view (perfect for breakfast), the excellent location (short walk to restaurants and beach). If you are looking for a relaxing stay in a small hotel that feels and looks more like a traditional house then I highly recommend Turk Evi.
