KAYA NİNOVA HOTEL in Mardin provides accommodations with a garden and a terrace. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. The room was super clean. The staff spoke English and Arabic(my mother tongue) and were really helpful when I asked them how to go to Midyat and Diyarbakir. Breakfast was varied. Although Mardin is very hot in the summer, the air conditioning in the room was such a blessing! Plus, all the sights are just some metres away on foot! Finally, the airport shuttle was reasonably priced! I highly recommend this hotel!
Set in a 700-year-old stone mension, Mardius Tarihi Konak offers a terrace overlooking the stunning views of the city. The property has a restaurant offering panoramic views. The hotel is very good at hospitality, management is professional but with family style,it is worthy to stay and feel the big local family’s lifetime along with the society changes.Miss the peaceful antiquity town with big terrace view of Mesopotamia, smiling citizens, mystery legends.
Located in a stone-built mansion, Gazi Konagi Butik Hotel offers views of Mardin Castle and the plains of Mesopotamia from its terraces. The hotel offers authentic rooms with modern amenities.
Hilton Garden Inn Mardin is surrounded by wide plateaus, offering views of the Mesopotamia Plateau and the old city of Mardin. Actually everything. This is an excellent hotel.

From airport: take a bus to kızıltepe ,then transfer to other bus to (eski) Mardin. From Diyarbakir: take dolmus / mini bus at ilçe otogar to kızıltepthen transfer to Mardin. Please mind that dolmus between Diyarbakir and Mardin will stop operating after dark, maybe 5 PM.people are nice and always helpful, they like to take care of you. dont be shy.Make sure to check forecaste before going. The first day when I was there, it was too foggy for photo, and the road was wet and flipped for walking. Make sure bring enough Turkish currency, since they're no places for exchange.
The City on a Hill. There is a lot to see, but it is spread out. The Castle is closed to tourists, but the Main Street is open. You will need to take a taxi or mini bus to see the other sights. The views of the area are best from the hill. Visit a cafe with a terrace and enjoy.
AWESOME CİTY. I felt like I was walking around the set of Game of Thrones with its castle, winding stone streets and stone buildings. The folks there are super friendly. As of March 2016, it was also very safe. I never had any issues and eventhough there arent many foreign travellers, there are still quite a few local tourists even a few kids on school trips. Make sure to try the Süranyi Şarabı, the local wine. The home made version was my fav. (Süryani Ev Şarabı)

Though the reception staff spoke very little English, he tried and communication was no problem with Google Translate. Everyone was very friendly and view from the terrace was breathtaking esp at sunrise. Location was perfect in the middle of the old town to explore the magical, peaceful town of old Mardin. Stone room doesnt have a view from the room but it is very cute, unique experience - Can't comment on modern rooms. As a sole female traveller I felt 100% safe and well looked after.

This hotel made my trip very special. The air port transfer, the accommodation, the excellent service, the amazing and very clean room... Everything was perfect. They made us a program to see the most of Mardin in a walking distance and helped us with bus tickets for the next destination. Thanks a lot for making us feel at home and even more. Thanks a lot for everything and if you decide to come to this amazing city do not hesitate to stay in this amazing hotel and you will not regret it.
